疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は、「本年（2025年）1月、タイは世界保健機関（WHO）にMpoxのクレード1のIbウイルス株確診症例3例を報告したが、患者3例はいずれも30代と40代の女性で、いずれもアラブ首長国連邦（UAE）からタイに帰国中に症状が出、疫学的調査により、全員に確定症例または疑い症例との濃厚接触または性的接触があり、UAEでMpoxのクレード1ウイルス株に感染した可能性があることを示している。現在、タイは接触者の追跡をしており、特定された接触者を厳重に監視している。東南アジア諸国の水かけ祭りは4月中旬に始まり、世界中から観光客を集めて祝うものと予想されており、国際的にMpox流行が続いていることを考慮すると、ワクチン接種により、第1・第2系統のMpoxウイルス感染を予防できるが、ワクチンは2回接種が必要であり、2回目の接種間隔は少なくとも4週間空けなければならず、ワクチンが完全な予防効果を発揮するには最低14日が必要となるので疾管署は、渡航前に危険な行動が予想されるなら、少なくとも6週間前にワクチンを接種し、自己防衛策を講じねばならない」と発表した。

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) stated that Thailand reported three confirmed cases of Mpox clade 1 Ib virus strain to the World Health Organization (WHO) in January this year (2025). All of the three are women in their 30s and 40s. All developed symptoms while returning to Thailand from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and after epidemiological investigation, all of them have close or sexual contact with confirmed or suspected cases, indicating the potential transmission of Mpox clade 1 virus strain in UAE. Thailand is currently conducting contact tracing and closely monitoring the identified contacts. The Water Splashing Festival in Southeast Asian countries will begin in mid-April and is expected to attract tourists from all over the world to gather and celebrate. In view of the ongoing international M-pox epidemic, vaccination with M-pox vaccine can prevent infection with the first and second branch M-pox virus strains, and M-pox vaccine requires two doses, with at least 4 weeks between the two doses. It takes at least 14 days for the vaccine to provide complete protection. The CDC reminds the public that if they anticipate risky behavior before traveling, they should get vaccinated at least 6 weeks in advance and implement self-protection measures.

疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)表示泰國於本(2025)年1月向世界衛生組織(WHO)通報3例M痘第1分支Ib病毒株確診病例，皆為30至40多歲女性，3例均為由阿拉伯聯合大公國(UAE)返回泰國途中出現症狀，且經疫調皆與確診或疑似個案有密切接觸或性接觸，顯示 UAE 有M痘第1分支病毒株之潛在傳播，目前泰國已進行接觸者追蹤，密切監測所匡列之接觸者。東南亞國家潑水節慶典活動將於4月中旬展開，預計將吸引世界各國遊客聚集狂歡，鑒於國際M痘疫情持續，接種M痘疫苗可預防第1及第2分支M痘病毒株感染，且M痘疫苗需接種2劑，2劑間隔至少4週，而接種疫苗至少需14天方可產生完整保護力，疾管署提醒民眾出遊前如預期有風險行為，應提早至少6週前接種疫苗，並落實自我防護。
