2026年5月 （5月1日00：00 ～ 5月31日 24：00）内の、全国（台湾香港マカオは含まず、以下同）の法定伝染病例は1,092,528例（前月は1,139,033例； 46,505例減に転）、死者数は1,879例（前月は1,890例； 11例減）であった。
うち、
A（甲）類伝染病では発症2例となるもいずれもコレラで、死亡者は出ていない。
B（乙）類伝染病では、発症297,309例 （前月は308,891例： 13,582例減）、死亡1,876例（前月は1,888例： 12例減）が報告されている。
報告されている発症データの病種ワースト5は、ウィルス性肝炎、肺結核、梅毒、COVID-19、および淋病（3か月連続で前月と同じ）で、B類伝染病報告総数の93.8%を占めていた。
SARSやポリオおよびジフテリアは発症・死亡例なし。
C（丙）類伝染病では、発症数は795,217例（前月は830,142例、34,925例減）、死亡は3例（前月は2例で1例増に転）であった。 発症データの3位までの病種は、インフルエンザ、その他感染性下痢症と手足口病（12月、1月、2月、3月、4月と同種同順）であり、C（丙）類伝染病報告総数の98.7％を占めていた。
同期、「重点監視対象となっているその他の非法定感染症」では発症者65,555例、死者0例が報告され、報告された主な疾患は水痘と肝吸虫症であり、この2病種で重点監視対象となっているその他の非法定感染症の報告症例総数の99.9％を占めた。（2026年2月度分からこの項目に関するコメントが追加されました）。

In May 2026 (0:00 on May 1, to 24:00 on May 31), the country (excluding Hong Kong, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan, the same hereinafter) reported a total of 1,092,528 cases and 1,879 deaths (Data does not include those from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region, and Taiwan Province. The same applies below).
In Class A infectious diseases,
two cases were reported, both of which were cholera cases, with no deaths reported.
In Class B infectious diseases,
a total of 297,309 cases and 1,876 deaths were reported.
The top five diseases in terms of reported incidence are viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, syphilis, COVID-19 and gonorrhea, accounting for 93.8% of the total number of reported cases. No cases or deaths were reported for SARS, poliomyelitis, diphtheria, neonatal tetanus, or schistosomiasis.

In Class C infectious diseases,
In Class C infectious diseases, a total of 795,217 cases with 3 deaths were reported. The top three diseases in terms of reported cases were influenza, other infectious diarrheal diseases, and hand-foot-mouth disease, accounting for 98.7% of all reported Class C infectious disease cases.
During the same period, a total of 65,555 cases of other non-statutory infectious diseases under key monitoring were reported, with 0 (no) deaths. The main diseases reported were chickenpox and liver fluke disease, which together accounted for 99.9% of the total reported cases of other infectious diseases under key monitoring.

2026年5月（5月1日0时至31日24时），全国共报告法定传染病1092528例，死亡1879人（未包括香港特别行政区、澳门特别行政区和台湾省数据，下同）。
甲类传染病共报告发病2例，均为霍乱病例，无死亡报告。
乙类传染病共报告发病297309例，死亡1876人。
报告发病数居前5位的病种依次为病毒性肝炎、肺结核、梅毒、新型冠状病毒感染和淋病，占乙类传染病报告病例总数的93.8%。
传染性非典型肺炎、脊髓灰质炎和白喉无发病、死亡报告。
丙类传染病共报告发病795217例，报告死亡3人。报告发病数居前3位的病种依次为流行性感冒、其他感染性腹泻病和手足口病，占丙类传染病报告病例总数的98.7%。
同期，重点监测的其他传染病共报告发病65555例，无死亡。报告发病的病种主要为水痘和肝吸虫病，两个病种报告病例数合计占重点监测的其他传染病报告病例总数的99.9%。
