疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は本日（5月15日）、「2026年5月13日、国際保健規則（IHR）に基づき、ニュージーランドは、4月に国際クルーズ船『MVホンディウス号』に乗船していたニュージーランドからの乗客は現在台湾に滞在しているものの、関連症状は出ていないと台湾に通知した。
疾管署は直ちに接触者の追跡調査を開始し、疫学者を派遣して当該乗客と連絡を取るとともに、同日、衛生単位が当該乗客に病院を手配し、検査と経過観察を実施し、血液や尿、唾液、鼻咽頭検体の検査を行っている。
昨日（5月14日）、検査の結果、アンデス型のPCR検査およびIgM抗体・IgG抗体はすべて陰性となり、感染は一時的に排除された」と発表した。
疾管署は、
「当該乗客は4月24日にセントヘレナ（Saint Helena）島に下船しており、4月25日が他の乗客との最終接触日となるが、5月7日に台湾入りしてからこれまでの症状や健康上の異常はないと述べている。
この事案に適切に対応するため、疾管署は、世界保健機関（WHO）以外にもEU CDC、米CDCの専門ガイドラインに従い予防措置を講じているとともに、本日、ハンタウイルス・アンデス株感染疑い例に関する予防・対策について協議するため、専門家協議会を開催した。
専門家の勧告に基づき、また乗客が高リスク接触者であることを考慮し、乗客は6月6日（潜伏期間は最終曝露日である4月25日から最大42日間）まで医療チーム指導の下、「強化された自己健康管理」のため個室に入院している。
同時に、乗客は毎日体温を測定して健康状態を監視し、呼吸器と手指衛生を良好に保たねばならない。
既に我々はIHR窓口を通じ乗客の状況をWHOに通知し、必要な支援を提供するために台湾にあるニュージーランド事務所にも積極的に連絡している。自己健康管理強化期間終了するまで毎週定期的に検査が実施される予

The Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced today (May 15th) that New Zealand notified Taiwan through the International Health Regulations (IHR) window that a New Zealand passenger who had traveled on the international cruise ship “MV Hondius” in April of this year was currently staying in Taiwan but had no related symptoms on May 13, 2026.
CDC immediately initiated contact tracing, assigning an epidemiologist to contact the passenger. and health authorities arranged for the passenger to go to the hospital for testing and observation on the same day. Tests on blood, urine, saliva, and nasopharyngeal samples.

CDC explained that

To respond appropriately to this incident, the CDC, in addition to following professional guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO), the European Union CDC, and the US CDC, held an expert consultation meeting today to discuss prevention and control measures for suspected Hantavirus Andean strain cases.
Based on expert recommendations and considering the passenger’s status as a high-risk contact, they have been placed in a private hospital room under the guidance of a medical team for “enhanced self-health management” until June 6 (the maximum incubation period is 42 days from the last exposure day, April 25).
Further, the passenger is required to monitor their health daily by taking their temperature and to maintain good respiratory and hand hygiene. We have notified the WHO of the passenger’s situation through the IHR window and have also proactively contacted the New Zealand office in Taiwan to provide necessary assistance. 疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(15)日表示，今(2026)年5月13日紐西蘭透過國際衛生條例(IHR)窗口聯繫管道通知我國，一名曾於今年4月間搭乘「洪迪亞斯號(MV Hondius)」國際郵輪之紐籍乘客正在我國停留但無相關症狀，疾管署旋即啟動追蹤，指派防疫醫師與該名乘客取得聯繫，
並由衛生單位於當日完成安排該乘客前往醫院採檢及留院觀察等措施，經檢驗血液、尿液、唾液、鼻咽檢體，昨(14)日檢驗結果漢他病毒安地斯型PCR和血清IgM、IgG抗體均為陰性，暫排除感染。
疾管署說明，該名乘客為今年4月24日於聖赫勒拿島(Saint Helena)下船，與其他乘客之最後暴露日為4月25日，於5月7日入境我國，自述迄今並無任何身體不適或健康異常情形。
為審慎妥適因應本次事件，疾管署除參依世界衛生組織(WHO)及歐盟CDC、美國CDC等專業指引採取防疫作為，並於今日召開專家諮詢會議，針對漢他病毒安地斯型疑似感染個案之相關防治措施進行討論。
經綜整專家建議，考量該乘客屬於高風險接觸者，已安排乘客於醫院單人病室在醫療團隊指導下，進行「加強型自主健康管理」至6月6日(自最後暴露日4月25日起算最長潛伏期42天)，
並要求該乘客須遵守每日量測體溫進行健康監測、遵守良好呼吸道衛生及手部衛生。我方已透過IHR窗口通知WHO該乘客之處置情形，亦主動聯繫紐西蘭駐台單位提供該乘
