疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は本日（8月4日）、「国内ではCOVID-19感染者数が増加を続け、流行期に入っているが、国民には、油断せず、頻繁な手洗いなど、自身の健康管理に十分注意するよう呼びかける。
医療機関に出入りする際や公共交通機関を利用する際、混雑している屋内施設に行く際はマスクを着用すること；
発熱や呼吸器症状がある場合、極力自宅で安静にし、不要不急の外出を控え、外出の際はマスクを着用すること；
まだワクチンを接種していない人は、早急に接種を受けること；
重症化リスクを高める他の要因を持つ人に疑わしい症状が現れた場合は直ちに病院を受診すべきで、医師が早期の診療を行い、抗ウイルス薬を処方することができるようにし、感染後の重篤な合併症や死亡のリスクを軽減せんばならない」と発表した。
疾管署の監視データによると、
台湾におけるCOVID-19は拡大傾向にあり、
第30週（7月26日～8月1日）には、COVID-19関連の救急外来受診者数が18,990人回となり、前週（7月19日～25日）と比べ74.8%の増加となった；
先週（7月28日～8月3日）には、本土重症例新たに62例、国内死亡例3例が確認された。
2025年10月以降、COVID-19の合併症を併発し重症化した本土症例は累計265例、死者数は28例となっているが、重症例の多くが65歳以上（74.0%）、基礎疾患を有している人（85.3%）である。
これら症例の89.1%は、今季ワクチンの接種を受けていなかった；
過去4週間、台湾における症例で最も多く見られた変異株はPQ.16.1.1である。
世界の陽性率は上昇傾向にあり、米州と欧州では最低値からわずかに上昇している一方、東南アジアと西太平洋地域では横ばい状態が続く。中国や米国および英国では感染が拡大し続けている；
香港や日本、タイでは感染者数が週ごとに減少している；
現在、世界的に流行している主な変異株はNB.1.8.1、XFGおよびJN.1である。
疾管署は、「2026年8月2日現在、今季の新型コロナウイルス用ワクチン接種者累計は約177万2千人回となっており、65歳以上の接種率は、初回接種完了者が21.12%、2回目完了者が0.78%となっている。
台湾では、新型コロナウイルスワクチン約16万5千回分が備蓄されており、既に7月30日には、8万550回分が各県・市に配布され、8月6日には各県・市のニーズに応じさらに4万5千回分が配布される予定だ。

The Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (CDC) stated today (August 4) that the domestic COVID-19 epidemic continues to rise and is in its epidemic phase, urging the public not to let their guard down, to take good self-protection measures, and to wash their hands frequently;
and to wear masks when entering and exiting medical care facilities, taking public transportation, and going to crowded indoor places;
if you have a fever or respiratory symptoms, it is recommended to stay home as much as possible and avoid unnecessary outings, and remember to wear a mask when going out; those who have not yet been vaccinated should get vaccinated as soon as possible;
people with other risk factors for severe illness should seek medical attention as soon as possible if they experience suspected symptoms so that doctors can diagnose and treat them early and prescribe antiviral drugs, reducing the risk of developing severe complications or death after infection.
According to data from CDC,
The epidemic in Taiwan is on the rise, and in week 30 (July 26- Aug. 1), there were 18,990 outpatient and emergency room visits related to COVID-19, a 74.8% increase compared to the previous week (July 19-25); Last week (July 28- Aug. 3), there were 62 new locally transmitted severe cases and 3 local deaths.
Since October 2025, there have been a cumulative total of 265 locally transmitted cases of COVID-19 complicated by severe illness, including 28 deaths.
Many severe cases were among those aged 65 and above (74.0%) and those with a history of chronic diseases (85.3%). 89.1% of these cases had not received the COVID-19 vaccine this season;
In the past four weeks, the predominant variant strain in locally transmitted cases has been PQ.16.1.1. The global positivity rate is trending upward, with the US and Europe showing a slight increase from their lows, while Southeast Asia and the Western Pacific are at a plateau.
The outbreaks in China, the US, and the UK continue to rise; while the outbreaks in Hong Kong, Japan, and Thailand are declining weekly. Recently, the predominant globally circulating variants are NB.1.8.1, XFG, and JN.1.
CDC stated
that approximately 1.772 million COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered this season as of Aug. 2, 2026, where, the vaccination rates for those aged 65 and over are 21.12% for the first dose and 0.78% for the second dose. Taiwan has approximately 165,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine in stock.
80,550 doses were allocated to various counties and cities for vaccination on July 30th, and an additional 45,000 doses are expected to be distributed on August 6th based on demand from each county and city.
Those wishing to be vaccinated are reminded that the expanded vaccination program has been extended to September 28th; please take advantage of this period to get vaccinated.

疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(4)日表示，國內新冠疫情持續上升且處流行期，籲請民眾不可掉以輕心，做好自我防護措施，落實勤洗手；出入醫療照護機構、搭乘大眾運輸、至人潮擁擠室內場所時，自主戴口罩；
出現發燒或有呼吸道症狀，建議儘量在家休息，避免不必要的外出，外出時記得佩戴口罩；尚未接種疫苗儘快接種；另具重症風險因子的民眾如出現疑似症狀應儘速就醫，以利醫師及早診治並開立抗病毒藥物，降低感染後引發併發重症或死亡之風險。
依據疾管署監測資料顯示，國內新冠肺炎疫情上升，第30週(7/26-8/1)新冠門急診就診計18,990人次，較上週( 7/19-7/25 )上升74.8%；上週(7/28-8/3)新增62例本土重症病例及3例本土死亡病例。
去(2025)年10月起累計265例新冠併發重症本土病例，其中28例死亡，重症病例以65歲以上長者(占74.0%)及具慢性病史者(占85.3%)為多，89.1%未接種本季新冠疫苗；近4週本土病例變異株以PQ.16.1.1為主。
