疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は本日（8月11日）、「現在、COVID-19は依然拡大しており、国民に自己防衛の意識を高め、手洗いと咳エチケットの徹底を強く求める。自分と他人の健康を守るため、発熱や咳、鼻水、喉の痛み、その他の呼吸器症状がある場合は、極力外出を控え、不要不急の外出を避け、外出の際はマスクを着用すること。
更に、医療機関への入館時やソーシャルディスタンスの確保が難しい人込みや換気の悪い場所、高齢者や免疫不全の人と密接な接触がある場所でもマスクを着用することが推奨される。
もし呼吸困難や息切れ、チアノーゼ、血痰、胸痛、意識障害、低血圧などの危険な兆候が現れた場合、合併症による重篤化のリスク軽減のため、速やかに医療機関を受診し、医師の指示に従って服薬するように」と発表した。
疾管署の監視データによると、
台湾におけるCOVID-19は拡大傾向にあり、
第31週（8月2日～8月8日）には、COVID-19関連の救急外来受診者数が24,645人回となり、先週（7月26日～8月1日）と比べ27.6%（宮本注：増加率が下がりました！）の増加となった；
先週（8月4日～8月10日）には、本土重症例新たに72例、国内死亡例14例（先週の3例から大幅増）が確認された。
2025年10月以降、COVID-19の合併症を併発し重症化した本土症例は累計337例、死者数は42例となっているが、重症例の多くが65歳以上（73.9%）、基礎疾患を有している人（84.0%）である。
これら症例の89.6%は、今季ワクチンの接種を受けていなかった；
過去4週間、台湾における症例で最も多く見られた変異株はPQ.16.1.1である。
疾管署は、
「世界の陽性率は上昇の趨勢にあり、欧州やアフリカでは上昇の趨勢にある一方で西太平洋地区では横ばい状態が続く。中国やタイ、韓国及び米国では感染が拡大し続けている；
日本では感染者数の変動が比較的大きい一方、香港では減少傾向にある；現在、世界的に流行している主な変異株はNB.1.8.1、XFGおよびJN.1である」としている。
疾管署は、「2026年8月9日現在、今季の新型コロナウイルス用ワクチン接種者累計は約179万6千人回となっており、65歳以上の接種率は、初回接種完了者が21.22%、2回目完了者が0.97%となっている。

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) stated today (August 11) that given the recent escalation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the CDC urges the public to strengthen their self-protection awareness and practice good hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette.
To protect their own health and the health of others, if experiencing respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, runny nose, or sore throat, please stay home and avoid unnecessary outings.
When going out, remember to wear a mask. It is also recommended that people wear masks when entering medical care facilities, in crowded places where proper social distancing cannot be maintained, in poorly ventilated areas, or in close contact with the elderly or immuno-compromised individuals.
If you experience dangerous symptoms such as difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, cyanosis, blood in sputum, chest pain, altered consciousness, or low blood pressure, seek medical attention immediately and follow your doctor’s instructions regarding medication to reduce the risk of developing severe complications.
According to data from CDC,
the epidemic in Taiwan is on the rise, and in week 31 (Aug. 2- Aug. 8), there were 24,645 outpatient and emergency room visits related to COVID-19, a 27.6% increase compared to the previous week (July 26-Aug. 1);
Last week (Aug. 4- Aug. 10), there were 72 new locally transmitted severe cases and 14 local deaths. Since October 2025, there have been a cumulative total of 337 locally transmitted cases of COVID-19 complicated by severe illness, including 42 deaths.
Many severe cases were among those aged 65 and above (73.9%) and those with a history of chronic diseases (84.0%). 89.6% of these cases had not received the COVID-19 vaccine this season;
In the past four weeks, the predominant variant strain in locally transmitted cases has been PQ.16.1.1.
CDC explains
that the global positivity rate is on the rise, with increases in Europe and Africa, while the Western Pacific region remains at a plateau.
The outbreaks are increasing in China, Thailand, South Korea, and the United States; Japan is experiencing a relatively high point with fluctuating outbreaks, while Hong Kong’s outbreak is declining;
Recently, the predominant globally circulating variants are NB.1.8.1, XFG, and JN.1.
CDC pointed out
that as of August 9, 2026, approximately 1.796 million people have received COVID-19 vaccines this season.
The vaccination rates for those aged 65 and above are 21.22% for the first dose and 0.97% for the second dose. There are currently about 140,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine in stock in Taiwan.
The CDC will allocate approximately 37,000 doses from the central reserve to various counties and cities for public vaccination on August 13.

疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(11)日表示，近期新冠疫情持續升溫，呼籲民眾加強自主防疫觀念，落實手部衛生及呼吸道禮節，又為保護自身及他人健康，
倘出現發燒或咳嗽、流鼻涕、喉嚨痛等呼吸道相關症狀儘量在家休息，避免不必要的外出，外出時記得佩戴口罩，
另民眾如出入醫療照護機構以及於人潮聚集且無法保持適當距離或通風不良之場所、與年長者或免疫低下者密切接觸時，亦建議自主佩戴口罩。
若出現呼吸困難、呼吸急促、發紺、血痰、胸痛、意識改變、低血壓等危險徵兆，應儘速就醫，並配合醫師指示服藥，以降低併發重症風險。
依據疾管署監測資料顯示，
國內新冠肺炎疫情上升，第31週(8/2-8/8)新冠門急診就診計24,645人次，較上週(7/26-8/1)上升27.6% ；上週(8/4-8/10)新增72例本土重症病例及14例本土死亡病例。
去(114)年10月起累計337例新冠併發重症本土病例，其中42例死亡，重症病例以65歲以上長者(占73.9%)及具慢性病史者(占84.0%)為多，89.6%未接種本季新冠疫苗；

疾管署說明，

疾管署指出，截至今(115)年8月9日，本季新冠疫苗接種累計約179.6萬人次，65歲以上長者接種率分別為第1劑21.22%、第2劑0.97%。
國內新冠疫苗現有庫存共約14萬劑，疾管署將於8月13日將中央庫存約3.7萬劑全數撥配至各縣市供民眾接種，該批疫苗解凍後配送，效期至今年9月9日止，故本季新冠疫苗提供接種至該日為止，
