疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は本日（6月17日）、「国内のCOVID-19感染者数はわずかに減少したものの、依然高い水準にあり、死亡者数も増加し続けている。国民には、これを軽視しないでほしい。医療機関に出入りする時や公共交通機関を利用する時、混雑した室内への移動時にはマスクの着用を推奨する；もし症状が現れた場合は、極力自宅で療養するようにし、不要不急の外出を避け、外出時にはマスクの着用を思い起こしてほしい。重症化のリスク要因がある人は、疑わしい症状が現れた場合、早急に医師の診察を受けねばならない。そうすることで、医師が早期診療をし、感染後の合併症や死亡のリスクを減らすために抗ウイルス製剤の処方をすることが可能になるのだ」と発表した。
疾管署統計によると、国内ではCOVID-19の流行はわずかに減少したものの、依然高い水準にあり、第24週（6月8日～6月14日）のCOVID-19救急外来の外来受診者数は66,951人回となり、前の週より6.2％下降しているが、合併症による重症者数は依然多く、今後の流行状況の変化を注視せねばならない；6月10日～6月16日には、COVID-19の合併症による本土重症症例144例および本土死者38例が増えている；今年に入ってから、COVID-19の本土重症症例計874例が報告されているが、うち死者は144例となって

疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(17)日表示，國內新冠疫情略降，惟仍處相對高點，且死亡病例數持續上升，提醒民眾不可掉以輕心，出入醫療照護機構、搭乘大眾運輸、至人潮擁擠室內場所，建議自主佩戴口罩；如有生病建議儘量在家休息，避免不必要的外出，外出時記得佩戴口罩，另具重症風險因子的民眾如出現疑似症狀應儘速就醫，以利醫師及早診治並開立抗病毒藥物，降低感染後引發併發症或導致死亡之風險。
疾管署統計，國內新冠肺炎疫情略降，仍處相對高點，第24週(6/8-6/14)新冠門急診就診計66,951人次，較前一週下降6.2%，惟併發重症數仍多，仍須觀察後續疫情變化；6/10-6/16新增144例新冠併發重症本土病例及38例本土死亡病例；今年新冠併發重症本土病例累計874例，其中144例死亡，均以65歲以上長者及具慢性病史
