疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は本日（6月3日）、「国内においては、新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）の流行が継続拡大しており、国民は自己予防意識を強化し、医療機関に出入りする際や公共交通機関を利用する際、屋内の人込みへの出入りの際はマスク着用の上、こまめに手洗いを行い、ワクチン接種対象者は積極的にワクチン接種を受けるよう強く求められている。発熱や呼吸器症状が現れた場合は、可能な限り自宅で療養し、不要不急の外出を避け、外出時にはマスクを着用することを忘れぬようにし、重症化のリスク要因がある人は、疑わしい症状が現れた場合、すぐに医療機関を受診すること。これにより、医師は早期に診断を行い、抗ウイルス薬を処方することができ、感染後の合併症や死亡のリスクを軽減することができる」と発表した。
疾管署は「国内ではCOVID-19の流行が増加し続けており、第22週（5月25日～5月31日）のCOVID-19救急外来の外来受診者数は62,755人回となり、前の週より49％上昇した。前週と比べて増加率は若干鈍化したが、端午節の連休による今週の受診者数への影響がどうなるかにまだ注視せねばならない。受診者数は6月も増加を続けると予想されるが、ピークは6月下旬～7月上旬になり減少に転じると予想される。5月27日～6月2日の間に、COVID-19との合併症を起こし重症化した本土症例132例、死者15例が新たに報告された；今年に入り、COVID-19の本土重症症例計564例が報告されているが、うち死者は81例となっており、そのほとんどが65歳以上の高齢者と慢性疾患歴を持つ人だ。確診症例および死亡例の約90%以上が、JN.1ワクチンを接種していなかった。現在、国内で主流となっている変異株はNB.1.8.1で

疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(3)日表示，國內新冠疫情持續上升，籲請民眾加強自主防疫觀念，出入醫療照護機構、搭乘大眾運輸、至人潮擁擠室內場所佩戴口罩，勤洗手，符合疫苗接種資格民眾踴躍接種，出現發燒或有呼吸道症狀建議盡量在家休息，避免不必要外出，外出時記得佩戴口罩，另具重症風險因子的民眾如出現疑似症狀應儘速就醫，以利醫師及早診治並開立抗病毒藥物，降低感染後引發併發症或導致死亡之風險。
疾管署指出，國內新冠肺炎疫情上升，第22週(5/25-5/31)新冠門急診就診計62,755人次，較前一週上升49%，增幅較先前一週略減緩，但仍需觀察端午連假效應對本週就診人次之影響，預估六月份仍呈上升趨勢，高峰仍預估將落在六月底七月初。5/27-6/2新增132例新冠併發重症本土病例及15例本土病例死亡；今年新冠併發重症本土病例累計564例，其中81例死亡，均以65歲以上長者及具慢性病史者為多，確定及死亡病例未接種JN.1疫苗
