疾病管制署（以下「疾管署」）は本日（2月4日）、「今年（2025年）国内初の本土髄膜炎菌性髄膜炎の確診症例として、海外渡航歴がない北部の70代男性が見つかった。患者は、本年1月18日、呼吸困難やめまい、頻繁な転倒などの症状が現れ、救急車で病院の救急外来に搬送された。医師が彼を急性腎不全や敗血症、肺炎と診断し、陰圧隔離病棟に入院させて抗生剤治療を行い、1月22日に病院が通報および検査をしたところ、髄膜炎菌への感染が確認された。患者は、入院期間中に他の心血管疾患と診断され、痰に血が混じり、便にも潜血が混じり、ヘモグロビン値が低いことが判明したが病状が悪化し、1月31日に死亡した」と発表した。
疾管署は、その監視データから今年台湾で確認された流行性脳脊髄膜炎患者は1例であり、これは2016～2024年の同時期の患者数（0～2人）に匹敵し、2016～2024 年までの統計では、年間累積症例数は1～12

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced today (February 4) that the first confirmed case of local epidemic meningitis in the country this year (2025) is a male in his 70s from the north with no history of overseas travel and the case experienced breathing difficulties, dizziness, and frequent falls and was taken to the hospital emergency room by ambulance on January 18 this year. The doctor diagnosed him with acute kidney injury, sepsis and pneumonia and he was admitted to a negative pressure isolation ward and treated with antibiotics. The hospital reported on January 22 and confirmed through testing that he was infected with epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis. During the hospitalization, the patient was diagnosed with other cardiovascular diseases, and had blood in sputum, occult blood in stool, and low hemoglobin. He passed away on January 31 due to worsening of his illness.

疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(4)日公布今(2025)年國內首例本土流行性腦脊髓膜炎確定病例，為北部70多歲男性，無國外旅遊史，於今年1月18日出現呼吸困難、頭暈、頻繁跌倒由救護車送至醫院急診，經醫師診斷有急性腎損傷、敗血症及肺炎並收住負壓隔離病房，使用抗生素治療，醫院於1月22日通報並經檢驗確認感染流行性腦脊髓膜炎，個案住院期間經診斷疑似尚有其他心血管疾病，且出現血痰，糞便潛血及血紅素偏低情形，於1月31日因病況惡化往生。
疾管署說明，依據疾管署監測資料顯示，國內今年累計1例流行性腦脊髓膜炎確定病例，與2016年至2024年同期病例數（介於0-2例）相當，2016年至2024年統計資料顯示，每年累計病例數介於1-12例，個案感染年齡以
