疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は本日（10月14日）、「高雄市で新たにデング熱の症例が1例報告されたが、患者は高雄市楠梓区在住の30代女性であり、10月上旬に発熱や筋肉痛、骨頭痛及び全身倦怠感などの症状を呈し、医療機関を受診したが、同日、通報と検体検査に出された結果デングウイルス1型が検出され診断が確定された。患者は現在入院治療中、濃厚接触者は全員無症状だ」と発表した。
疾管署は「この患者には潜伏期間中の海外渡航歴もなく、主に自宅や職場で発生したため、本土症例とされる。隠れた患者を探し出すため、衛生単位は既に社区の疫学調査拡大とともに、確診症例の居住地および職場周辺における緊急の予防・管理措置を実施しているが、蚊密度の調査強化や繁殖源の排除及び健康教育推進と同時に国民には関連の予防・制御措置への協力を促すことで流行拡大を防止している」と発表した。疾管署は、「この患者はデングウイルス1型に感染しており、8月に鼓山区/三民区で発生したデング熱2型の本土クラスターとは異なる。ウイルスの遺伝子配列解析は既に完了しており、感染源の可能性がさらに明らかなものになるだろう」としている。

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced today (October 14) that Kaohsiung City reported a new local case of dengue fever. A woman in her 30s living in Nanzi District, Kaohsiung City, developed fever, muscle aches, bone pain, and general weakness in early October and sought medical attention at a clinic, and was diagnosed with dengue fever and tested positive for dengue virus type 1 on the same day. The case is currently hospitalized, and close contacts are currently asymptomatic.
The CDC stated that as the case had no history of traveling abroad during the incubation period, and her main places of activity are home and work, she is judged to be a local case. To identify hidden cases, health authorities have expanded community epidemiological investigations and implemented emergency prevention and control measures around the residences and workplaces of confirmed cases. The CDC is strengthening mosquito density surveys, eliminating breeding sources, and promoting health education, urging the public to cooperate with relevant prevention and control measures to prevent the spread of the epidemic. The CDC stated that the case was infected with dengue virus type 1, which is different from the type 2 local dengue fever cluster in Gushan District/Sanmin District in August. 疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(14)日公布新增1例高雄市本土登革熱病例，為居住高雄市楠梓區30多歲女性，10月上旬出現發燒、肌肉痠痛、骨頭痛及全身無力等症狀至診所就醫，於當日通報採檢送驗後確診登革熱，檢出登革病毒第一型。個案目前住院治療中，密切接觸者目前皆無症狀。
疾管署表示，個案潛伏期無國外旅遊史，主要活動地點為住家及工作地，研判為本土病例，為找出隱藏個案，衛生單位已於社區進行擴大疫調，並針對確診個案居住地及工作地周邊進行緊急防治工作，加強病媒蚊密度調查、孳生源清除及衛教宣導，呼籲民眾配合相關防治措施，防範疫情擴散。疾管署表示，個案感染登革病毒第一型，與8月份鼓山區/三民區本土登革熱群聚的第二型不同，已完成病毒基因定序，將近一步釐清可能感染源。
