据微信公众号“广州市人民公园”7月28日消息，当前，广州持续高温和湿热的天气为蚊媒滋生创造了有利条件，基孔肯雅热与登革热（以下简称“两热”）疫情防控形势严峻。广州市人民公园管理中心迅速响应省、市及主管单位部署，针对人民公园、广州兰圃及海珠广场三大园区“植被茂密、人流量大、积水易滋生蚊虫”的特点，以“源头防控、科学消杀、全员参与”为核心，多措并举开展“两热”防控专项行动。
消息称，7月27日下午，管理中心购买1000尾“灭蚊鱼”，针对性地投放至广州兰圃园区水体、溪流等区域，利用其捕食蚊子幼虫的习性，辅助控制水体中蚊虫滋生。管理中心计划继续投放5000尾“灭蚊鱼”，定期监测投放“灭蚊鱼”后水体中蚊虫幼虫密度及“灭蚊鱼”存活状态，根据实际情况适时补充投放，形成生态防蚊的长效机制。
