2018年6月末の全国の医療衛生機構数は 99.8万か所となり、2017年6月末と比べ、 全国の医療衛生機構数は8,291か所増加、 うち、 病院数は1,991、 末端医療衛生機構数は 10,906の増加、 専業公衆衛生機構数は 4,484の減少となった。
2018年,6月末までに、 全国の病院数は3.2万か所。 うち： 公立病院は12,121、 民間病院は19,589となっている。 2017年6月末と比較すると 公立病院は 445の減少、 民間病院は2,436の増加となった。
末端医療衛生機構数は、 94.3万となったが、 うち： 社区衛生服務中心（站）（宮本注： 社区とは『コミュニティ』を意味しており、 当該コミュニティの衛生サービスセンター及びステーションを意味している）は、 3.5万、 郷鎮衛生院は3.7万、 村衛生室は63.3万、 診所（医務室）（クリニック及び医務室）は 21.9万か所となっている。 2017年6月末と比較して、 コミュニティ衛生サービスセンター（ステーション）とクリニックは 増加、 郷鎮衛生院と村衛生室が 減少している。

By the end of June 2018, the number of medical and health institutions nationwide reached 998,000. Compared with the end of June 2017, the number of medical and health institutions nationwide increased by 8,291, including: 1991 hospitals, and 10,906 primary health care institutions. Professional public health institutions reduced by 4,484.
As of the end of June 2018, there were 32,000 hospitals, including 12,121 public hospitals and 19,589 private hospitals. Compared with the end of June 2017, public hospitals increased by 445 and private hospitals reduced by 2,436.
There are 943,000 primary health care institutions, including 35,000 community health service centers (stations), 37,000 township health centers, 633,000 village clinics, and 219,000 clinics (medical offices). Compared with the end of June 2017, community health service centers (stations) and clinics increased, and township health centers and village clinics decreased.
There are 20,000 professional public health institutions, including 3,464 disease prevention and control centers and 3,150 health supervision centers (centers). Compared with the end of June 2017, the number of CDCs decreased by 21 and the number of health inspectors (centers) increased by 14.
