2020年6月末の全国の医療衛生機構数は101.6万か所となり、2019年6月末と比べ、全国の医療衛生機構数は11,164か所増加、うち、病院数は1,368、末端医療衛生機構数は11,609の増加、専業公衆衛生機構数は1,993の減少となった。
2020年,6月末までに、全国の病院数は3.5万か所。 うち：公立病院は1.2万か所、民間病院は2.3万か所となっている。 2019年6月末と比較すると公立病院は38の減少、民間病院は1,406の増加となった。
末端医療衛生機構数は、96.3万となったが、うち：社区衛生服務中心（站）（宮本注：社区とは『コミュニティ』を意味しており、当該コミュニティの衛生サービスセンター及びステーションを意味している）は、3.5万、郷鎮衛生院は3.6万、村衛生室は61.6万、診所（医務室）（クリニック及び医務室）は24.9万か所となっている。 2019年6月末と比較して、コミュニティ衛生サービスセンター（ステーション）とクリニックは増加、郷鎮衛生院と村衛生室が減少している（この増減、2018年時点でも同傾向）。

By the end of June 2020, the number of medical and health institutions nationwide reached 1.016 million places. Compared with the end of June 2019, the number of medical and health institutions nationwide increased by 11,164, including: 1368 hospitals, and 11,609 primary health care institutions. Professional public health institutions reduced by 1,993.
As of the end of June 2020, there were 32 thousand hospitals, including 12 thousand public hospitals and 23 thousand private hospitals. Compared with the end of June 2019, public hospitals decreased by 38 and private hospitals increased by 1,406.
There are 963 thousand primary health care institutions, including 35 thousand community health service centers (stations), 36 thousand township health centers, 616 thousand village clinics, and 249 thousand clinics (medical offices). Compared with the end of June 2020, community health service centers (stations) and clinics increased, and township health centers and village clinics decreased.

截至2020年6月底，医院3.5万个，其中：公立医院1.2万个，民营医院2.3万个。与2019年6月底比较，公立医院减少38个，民营医院增加1406个。
