疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は本日（9月9日）、「台湾で新たに百日咳症例3例が確認されたが、台湾北部の家庭内クラスターによるもので、初発症例は生後1か月の男児で、百日咳ワクチンの接種年齢には達していなかった。当該男児は8月中旬に咳の症状が出始めた後、食欲不振や尿量減少、息切れ等が現れ、病院を受診し集中治療室で治療を受けていたが、検査・通報を経て8月下旬に診断が確定した。患者の同居家族5人を含む、計14人の濃厚接触者は特定されており、患者の母親と妹には咳の症状があり、検査により9月上旬に陽性となったが、同居家族の接触者5人は全員検査を受け、予防薬を投与されている。このクラスターで特定された接触者は、9月21日まで保健当局による監視下に置かれることになる」と発表した。
疾管署のモニタリングデータによると、今年（2025年）9月8日時点では、累計で百日咳の確定症例数44例が確認されている（家庭内クラスター8件、家庭内クラスターから学校クラスターに拡大したもの1件の患者を含む）が、いずれも本土症例となっており、年齢的には症例の大部分は11歳から18歳であり、16例（36%）となっており、生後6ヶ月未満の乳児が11例（25%）とこれに続いている。今年の百日咳累計症例数は、過去10年間（2016年以降）の同期比最多となった。今年は世界的に多くの国で百日咳の発生が増加しており、特に日本は深刻な状況に直面している。日本では8月24日までの時点で、今年の症例数は約7万例に達しており、これは2024年の年間症例数の16倍に相当し、2018年以降で最多となっており、症例の多数は若者、東京都と埼玉県で多く発生しており、乳幼児の死亡例も発生している。さらに東京や大阪、沖縄など各地から薬剤耐性株が報告されている；米国では今年、症例数が増加し、これまでに

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced today (September 9) that Taiwan has confirmed 3 new cases of pertussis (whooping cough) related to a family cluster in northern Taiwan. The index case is a one-month-old boy who was not yet old enough to receive the pertussis vaccine. The baby boy began experiencing coughing symptoms in mid-August, after experiencing symptoms such as decreased appetite, decreased urine output, and shortness of breath, he sought medical attention and was admitted to the intensive care unit. and was confirmed in late August after testing. A total of 14 close contacts have been identified, 5 of whom are family members living with the patient. The mother and sister of the case had coughing symptoms and tested positive in early September, the 5 family contacts who shared the same household have been tested and are receiving preventive medication. 疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(9)日公布國內新增3例百日咳確定病例，為北部一起家庭群聚，指標個案為1個月大男嬰，尚未到達接種百日咳疫苗年齡，該名男嬰於8月中旬開始有咳嗽症狀，後因陸續出現食慾下降、尿量減少、呼吸急促等情形至醫院就醫並收住加護病房治療，經檢驗通報，於8月下旬確診，匡列密切接觸者共計14名，5名為同住家人，其中案母及案姐曾有咳嗽症狀，於9月初檢驗陽性確診，5名同住家人接觸者均已採檢及進行預防性投藥，本群聚匡列之接觸者將由衛生單位持續監測至9月21日止。
依據疾管署監測資料顯示，國內今(2025)年截至9月8日，累計44例百日咳確定病例(含8起家庭群聚及1起家庭群聚延伸校園群聚)，皆為本土病例，年齡以11-18歲共16例(占36%)為多，其次為6個月(含)以下嬰兒11例(占25%)，今年百日咳累計病例數為近10年(2016年以來)同期最高。國際間今年的百日咳疫情在多國亦呈上升趨勢，
