疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は本日（8月5日）、「最近の豪雨により、広範囲で洪水が発生しているが、家の掃除をする際に病気を媒介する蚊が繁殖する下水や汚泥、周囲に溜まった水に接触することが多く、
これによりレプトスピラ症や類鼻疽、腸管感染症およびデング熱などの発生につながることがある；感染症予防のため、家の掃除をする際は「適切な用具の確保、飲食の注意、発生源の除去」という三つの予防策遵守を」と発表した。
疾管署は、「先週（7月29日～8月4日）、台湾では類鼻疽（メリオイドーシス）の新たな症例3例が報告されたが、いずれも台風ダナス（台風19号）の後に発生した。症例中2例は高雄市で、1例は台中市で発生したもので、年齢的には50～60代であり、発症日は7月21日～7月30日となっている；今年、台湾では計35例の類鼻疽症例が報告されているが、うち2例が死亡している。これは、この時期としては3番目に多い症例数であり、2005年と2024年（いずれも48例）を下回るもので、年齢層は65歳以上（22例）と50～64歳（11例）が主となっている。症例数は高雄市（27例）が最多、これに台中市の5例、台南市の2例、屏東県（1例）が次いでいるが、うち13例が台風ダナス後に発症しており、その分布は高雄市（11例）、台南市（1例）、台中市（1例）となっていた。8月4日までのところ、19例のレプトスピラ症の症例が報告されており、直近5年間の同期よりも低い。うち4例は台風ダナス後に発生しており、台中市。

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced today (August 5) that recent heavy rains have caused widespread flooding. While cleaning their homes, residents are at risk of coming into contact with sewage, sludge, or stagnant water, which can breed mosquitoes carrying disease-carrying mosquitoes. This can lead to outbreaks of infectious diseases such as leptospirosis, melioidosis, intestinal infections, and dengue fever. The CDC urges people to implement the three steps of epidemic prevention when cleaning their homes: ensure they are fully equipped, pay attention to their diet, and eliminate breeding sources of disease-carrying mosquitoes.

疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(5)日表示，近日豪雨造成多處積水淹水，民眾清理家園時易因接觸汙水、汙泥或環境積水孳生病媒蚊，造成鉤端螺旋體病、類鼻疽、腸道傳染病及登革熱等傳染病疫情；籲請民眾清理家園時務必落實「裝備要齊全、飲食要注意、清除孳生源」防疫三步驟，遠離傳染病。
疾管署說明，國內上週(7/29-8/4)新增3例類鼻疽本土病例，均為丹娜絲颱風後發病之病例，個案居住高雄市2例及臺中市1例，年齡介於50多歲至60多歲，發病日介於7/21-7/30；今年國內累計35例類鼻疽本土病例，其中2例死亡，為歷年同期第3高，低於2005年及2024年(均48例)，以65歲以上(22例)和50-64歲(11例)為主要年齡
