疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は本日（8月19日）、「台湾で新生児が腸病毒に感染して重症化した症例2例が新たに報告された。症例1は中部の生後1か月未満男児、症例2は南部の生後1か月未満女児で、それぞれ7月下旬と8月上旬に発症した。症例1は生後8日目に食欲不振と黄疸が出現し、外来診療を受け、4日後、心拍数増加と血中酸素濃度の低下がみられたため、転院し救急外来を受診の上入院したが、入院中に肝機能異常、血小板減少、凝固異常といった敗血症を示唆する症状が発現した。症例2は生後5日目に紅疹と無気力症状が現れ、翌日、食欲不振と活力の低下、新生児黄疸などにより、再検査を受けたところ炎症指数が異常値を示し、治療のため入院となったと同時に低体温や凝固機能異常、皮膚のあざなど、敗血症を疑わせる症状が現れた。両症例ともエコーウイルス11型への感染による重篤な合併症が確認され、現在ICUに入院治療中だ」と発表した。
疾管署の観測データによると、最近の2週間、腸病毒による救急外来受診者数が緩やかに増加しており、第33週（8月10日～16日）の外来救急受診者数は7,291人回と、前週の6,922人回と比べ5.3％の上昇を呈した。直近4週間の実験室の観測データでは、エコーウイルス11型が市中で最も一般的であることが示されるが、エコーウイルスが多くをしめており、且つ、先週はエコーウイルス11型に感染した重症新生児が報告され、生児疾患の重症化リスクが継続していることが示唆された。今年は、腸病毒感染が重症の合併症を伴った確診症例が13例（死者7名含む）確認され、過去6年間の同期としては最多となっている；うち、新生児の腸病毒感染が合併症により重症化した確診症例は10例確認されているが、いずれもエコーウイルス11型への感染であり、うち死者6例が出ている。

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced today (August 19) that 2 new cases of severe enterovirus infection in newborns have been reported in Taiwan: a baby boy (Case 1) in the central region and a baby girl (Case 2) in the southern region. They developed symptoms in late July and early August, respectively. (Case 1) is a baby boy less than one month old in central Taiwan, and (Case 2) is a baby girl less than one month old in southern Taiwan. They developed symptoms in late July and early August, respectively. Case 1 developed a poor appetite and jaundice on the eighth day after birth and was treated at a clinic. Four days later, he developed a rapid heartbeat and low blood oxygen levels, leading to his transfer to the hospital emergency department and hospitalization. During his hospitalization, he developed abnormal liver function, low platelets, and coagulation abnormalities, symptoms suggestive of sepsis. Case 2 developed a rash and lethargy on the fifth day after birth. The next day, she returned for examination due to decreased appetite, energy, and neonatal jaundice and found that her inflammatory index was abnormal. She was referred to the hospital for treatment, then suspected signs of sepsis such as hypothermia, abnormal coagulation function, and skin ecchymosis appeared. After reporting and testing, the 2 cases were confirmed to be infected with enterovirus Echovirus type 11 with severe complications, and are currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.
According to CDC surveillance data, In the past two weeks, the number of outpatient and emergency department visits for enterovirus has shown a slow upward trend, and in Week 33 (Aug. 10 to 16), there were 7,291 outpatient and emergency department visits, increased by 5.3% compared to the previous week (6,922 visits). Laboratory surveillance over the past four weeks showed that Echovirus type 11 was the most prevalent enterovirus in the community, with new cases of severe neonatal Echovirus 11 infection last week, indicating a continued risk of severe neonatal illness. This year, 13 cases of severe enterovirus infection (including 7 deaths) have been confirmed in total, remaining the highest number for the same period in the past six years. 疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(19)日公布國內新增2例新生兒腸病毒感染併發重症病例，為中部未滿月男嬰(案１)及南部未滿月女嬰(案２)，分別於７月下旬及8月上旬發病。案１於出生後第8天出現食慾不佳及黃疸於診所治療，4天後因心跳急促、血氧下降，轉至醫院急診及住院，住院期間出現肝指數異常、血小板低下、凝血功能異常等疑似敗血症情形。案2出生後第5天出現紅疹及嗜睡，次日因食慾、活力下降及新生兒黃疸等情形返診檢查時發現發炎指數異常，經轉診至醫院治療，並出現體溫過低、凝血功能異常、皮膚瘀斑等疑似敗血症徵候。２案經通報檢驗後確認均為腸病毒伊科病毒11型感染併發重症，目前皆於加護病房治療中。
依據疾管署監測資料顯示，近兩週腸病毒門急診就診人次呈緩升趨勢，第33週(8月10日至8月16日)門急診就診計7,291人次，較前一週(6,922人次)上升5.3%。近四週實驗室監測顯示社區腸病毒仍以伊科病毒11型為多，且新增新生兒感染伊科病毒11型併發重症病例，新生兒重症發生風險持續。今年累計13例腸病毒感染併發重症確
