疾病管制署（以下、疾管署）は本日（8月27日）、「先週、台湾では新たに類鼻疽（メリオイドーシス）の新規本土症例6例が見つかったが、観測データによると、本年（2024年）台湾では累計60例の類鼻疽本土確診症例が報告されているが、これは2006年以来の同期比最高、2005年同期に相当している；うち、53例が台風ケミの後に確定診断された患者であり、居住地別では、高雄市で41例、台南市6例、台中市3例、屏東県2例、嘉義県1例となっており、うち7例が死亡している。疾管署は、糖尿病や肺疾患、肝臓病、腎臓病、がん或いは免疫不全の人など、重症化率の高いハイリスクグループにもし発熱や胸痛、咳などの症状がある場合、早期診断・早期治療のため早急に病院受診を勧める」と発表した。

疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(27)日公布國內上週新增6例本土類鼻疽病例，依據監測資料顯示，今(2024)年國內已累計60例本土類鼻疽確定病例，為2006年以來同期最高，與2005年同期相當；其中53例為凱米颱風後確診個案，居住地分布為高雄市41例、臺南市6例、臺中市3例、屏東縣2例、嘉義縣1例，其中7例死亡。呼籲糖尿病、肺病、肝病、腎病、癌症或免疫功能受損者等高風險族群，重症機率較高，如有發燒、胸痛、咳嗽等症狀請儘速就醫，即早診斷與治療。
疾管署表示，上週新增個案皆居住於高雄市，年齡介於 50多歲至70多歲，發病日介於7/31-8/15，皆具慢性病
