疾病管制署（以下、疾管署）は本日（8月13日）、「先週、台湾では新たに類鼻疽（メリオイドーシス）の（死亡3例を含む）新規症例19例が発生したが、高雄市で15例、台南市及び台中市で各2例が見つかっており、20代から9
0代の人が7月24日から8月7日までの間に発症、うち慢性疾患歴がある人が17例、汚水や土壌などの環境への曝露歴がある人が7例であった。死亡患者は50代女性や80代女性と60代男性で、いずれも慢性疾患歴があり、類鼻疽が肺炎或いは敗血症性ショックと合併して死亡した。その他の新規確診症例14例は依然入院中だが、うち2例はICUで治療を受けている。疾管署は、糖尿病や肺疾患、肝臓病、腎臓病、がん或いは免疫不全の人など、重症化率の高いハイリスクグループにもし発熱や胸痛、咳などの症状がある場合、早期診断・早期治療のため早急に病院受診を勧める」と発表した。

The Department of Disease Control and Prevention (hereinafter referred to as the CDC) announced today (August 13) that there were 19 new local melioidosis cases in Taiwan last week (including 3 deaths), including 15 cases in Kaohsiung City, 2 cases each in Tainan City and Taichung City, the ages ranged from their 20s to their 90s, and the onset date ranged from 7/24 to 8/7. Among them, 17 cases had a history of chronic disease, and 7 cases had a history of exposure to sewage, soil and other related environments. The deceased cases were women in their 50s, women in their 80s, and men in their 60s. They all had chronic medical histories and died of melioidosis complicated by pneumonia or septic shock. The remaining 14 newly confirmed cases are still hospitalized, and 2 of them are being treated in the intensive care unit. We appeal to high-risk groups such as those with diabetes, lung disease, liver disease, kidney disease, cancer or immunocompromised people, who have a higher chance of severe illness, if you have fever, chest pain, cough and other symptoms, please seek medical attention as soon as possible for early diagnosis and treatment.

疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(13)日公布國內上週新增19例本土類鼻疽病例(包含3例死亡個案)，分別為高雄市15例、臺南市及臺中市各2例，年齡介於 20多歲至90多歲，發病日介於7/24-8/7，其中17例具有慢性病史，7例有汙水、土壤等相關環境暴露史。死亡個案為50多歲女性、80多歲女性及60多歲男性，均具慢性病史，因類鼻疽併發肺炎或敗血性休克死亡。其餘新確診個案14例仍住院中、其中2例於加護病房治療。呼籲糖尿病、肺病、肝病、腎病、癌症或免疫功能受損者等高風險族群，重症機率較高，如有發燒、胸痛、咳嗽等症狀請儘速就醫，即早診斷與治療。
疾管署表示，依據監測資料顯示，今(2024)年國內已累計37例本土類鼻疽確定病例，為2006年以來同期最高，
