疾病管理局（以下、疾管署）は本日（8月13日）、「先週（8月6日～8月12日）、台湾で新たにM痘の本土症例5例が確認されたが、全員が青壮
年の台湾籍男性で、居住県・市は北部と南部で、7月29日～8月4日に発症、体に皮疹や水疱、膿疱などが相次ぎ出現したが、医師の診断後の検査で通報されたがうち4人はワクチンを接種していなかった。 今年（2024年）8月12日時点で累計399例（本土症例377例、輸入症例22例）となっているが、うち、本年は40例（本土症例37例、輸入症例3例）が報告されており、8月も半月に満たない中、国内で新たに9例が増えており、これは7月の新規症例数15例、6月の6例に比して、流行がさらに過熱し続けているといえる。夏場は大規模な集会や多くの社交活動があるため、M痘流行のピークとなり、高リスク群の人々はワクチン接種と自己防衛が求められる」としている。

5 new local cases of M-pox in Taiwan last week, and the epidemic continues to rise. Eligible persons are called on to receive two doses of M-pox vaccine ASAP to enhance their protection.

The Department of Disease Control (hereinafter referred to as the CDC) announced today (August 13) that there were 5 new locally confirmed cases of Mpox in the country last week (8/6-8/12), all of which were young and middle-aged males of local nationality, the counties and cities where they live are in the north and south. The onset date was between July 29 and August 4, as symptoms such as rashes, blisters, and pustules appeared on the body one after another, they were evaluated by doctors and reported for examination. Four of them had never been vaccinated. The CDC reminds China that Mpox will be classified as the second category of notifiable infectious diseases on June 23, 2022. As of August 12, this year (2024), a total of 399 cases have been confirmed (377 local cases and 22 imported cases). Among them, there have been a total of 40 cases this year (37 local cases and 3 overseas cases), and there have been 9 new local cases before half of August. Compared with 15 new cases in July and 6 new cases in June, the epidemic continues to heat up. Due to the large gatherings of people and numerous social activities in summer, which is the peak period for the M-pox epidemic, high-risk people are urged to get vaccinated and implement self-protection.

疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(13)日公布國內上週(8/6-8/12)新增5例M痘(Mpox)本土確定病例，皆為本國籍青壯年男性，居住縣市為北部及南部，發病日介於7月29日至8月4日，因身體陸續出現皮疹、水泡、膿疱等症狀，經醫師評估後採檢通報，其中4例未曾接種過M痘疫苗。疾管署提醒我國自2022年6月23日將M痘列為第二類法定傳染病，截至今(2024)年8月12日累計確診399例病例(377例本土及22例境外移入)，其中今年累計40例(37例本土及3例境外)，而8月未過半即已新增9例本土個案，相較7月新增15例、6月新增6例，疫情持續升溫。因夏季大型人潮聚集及社交活動眾多，為M痘流行高峰期，呼籲高風險民眾接種疫苗及落實自我防護。
