疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は本日（8月13日）、「台風楊柳が襲来し、風雨が住宅環境に影響を与えているが、家の片付けの際には、「適切な用具の確保、飲食の注意、発生源の除去」の三ステップを実施し、下水や汚泥、或いは環境中の滞留水は、病原体を媒介する蚊の繁殖を招き、レプトスピラ症や類鼻疽、腸管感染症及びデング熱やチクングニ

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced today (August 13) that Typhoon Yangliu is approaching, bringing wind and rain that will impact the home environment. When cleaning your home, please follow the three steps of epidemic prevention: “Be fully equipped, eat carefully, and eliminate breeding sources,” contact with sewage, sludge, or stagnant water that breeds mosquitoes can lead to epidemics of leptospirosis, melioidosis, intestinal infections, dengue fever, and chikungunya. Please ensure that you take preventative measures and stay away from infectious diseases.
The CDC announced five new local cases of melioidosis between August 5 and 12, all of which occurred after Typhoon Danas. 疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(13)日表示，楊柳颱風來襲，帶來風雨影響家園環境，民眾清理家園時，請落實「裝備要齊全、飲食要注意、清除孳生源」防疫三步驟，如接觸汙水、汙泥，或因環境積水孳生病媒蚊，恐造成鉤端螺旋體病、類鼻疽、腸道傳染病及登革熱、屈公病等傳染病疫情，請民眾務必做好防疫措施，遠離傳染病。
疾管署說明，國內8/5-8/12新增5例類鼻疽本土病例，均為丹娜絲颱風後發病之病例，個案分別為高雄市3例(含1例死亡)及臺中市、臺南市各1例，年齡介於50多歲至80多歲，發病日介於7/20-8/2，均有糖尿病或高血壓等慢性病史，其中2位具汙水、汙泥相關接觸史，1位長期使用非自來水水源。死亡個案為60多歲男性，8月2日
