疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は本日（9月25日）、「桃園市初の本土デング熱症例は、桃園市在住の50代男性であり、9月15日に発熱などの症状が出たため、医療機関を受診、症状が改善しなかったため、9月22日に再度病院を受診した後、通報と検体検査の結果、デング熱への感染を確定された。感染者は既に自宅に戻って療養しており、同居家族は現在無症状である」と発表した。
疾管署は「この症例は潜伏期間中に海外渡航歴がなく、台湾で過去にデング熱の流行が発生した地域での活動歴もなかった。主な活動場所は住居と職場であり、この症例は本土の症例と特定されたが、疾管署国家実験室による遺伝子配列解析の結果、このウイルス株は過去のデング熱本土クラスターで確認されたウイルスとは異なることが確認されたが、感染源は未だ特定されていない。流行拡大を防ぐため、衛生単位は既に居住地周辺への化学的防除措置を講じ、媒介蚊の密度調査や媒介蚊の発生源の除去などの予防管理活動を実施している。今回の症例とその接触者に対し健康教育を実施するとともに社区施設での監視を拡大する計画が進行している」としている。
疾管署の統計によると、2025年9月24日現在、デング熱の国内感染例は累計で13例確認されているが、それぞれ高雄市で12例、桃園市で1例となるが、重症者や死亡者は出ていない；更に、輸入症例は計175例となっており、これは過去6年間（2020年～2024年）の同時期（9～216例）で二番目に多い数となっているが、これら症例のほとんどは東南アジア諸国からの輸入症例（92％を占める）であり、インドネシアからの55例が最多で、これにベトナムの40例、フィリピンの24例、タイの20例）が続く。世界においては、今年のデング熱感染者数は422万例を超えており（死者は2,987例）、主に南北アメリカで発生しているが、中でもブラジルやコロンビア、メキシコでの感染者数が多くを占めている；アジアでは、ベトナムやタイ、バングラデシュ、フィリピン、ラオス、インド、中国で感染者が増加しているが、マレーシアでは流行が続いており、スリランカでは昨年の同期よりも感染者数が増加している；太平洋の島国サモ

The Centers for Disease Control announced the following today (September 25) that the first locally transmitted dengue fever case in Taoyuan City is a man in his 50s who lives in Taoyuan. He sought medical attention on September 15 after experiencing fever and other symptoms. His symptoms did not improve, so he returned to the hospital on September 22. After notification and testing, he was confirmed to have dengue fever. The patient has returned home to recover, and his family members currently show no symptoms.

疾病管制署今(25)日公布桃園市首例本土登革熱病例，為居住桃園市50多歲男性，9月15日出現發燒等症狀就醫，9月22日因症狀未改善再次就醫，經通報及採檢送驗後確診感染登革熱。個案已返家休養，同住家人目前無症狀。
疾管署表示，個案潛伏期無國外旅遊史，亦無之前國內本土登革熱疫情發生地區活動史，主要活動地點為居住地及工作地，研判為本土病例，經疾管署國家實驗室基因定序結果與先前本土登革熱群聚案病毒株不同，感染源待釐清。為防範疫情擴散，衛生單位已經針對居住地周圍進行化學防治、病媒蚊密度調查及孳生源清除等防治工作，針對個案及接觸者進行衛教宣導，並規劃於社區設站擴大監測。
