疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は本日（10月28日）、「今年（2025年）11月1日から、公費によるインフルエンザと新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）ワクチン接種の第2段階が始まり、高リスクの慢性疾患を持たない50歳～64歳の成人などの公費接種対象者がワクチン接種を受けることができるようになる。
さらに、11月1日からは、台湾全土の全連や大全連（宮本注：全連はスーパー、大潤発は量販店。大潤連が大全連に買収されています、計約120店舗）及びカルフール（約32店舗）にもワクチン接種ステーションが指定日に設置され、人々のワクチン接種の利便性が更に高まり、ワクチン接種を完了した人には、同店が用意する健康ギフトもプレゼントされる（詳しい場所、日時、プレゼント品などは店舗が発表）」と発表した。
疾管署の国内呼吸器感染症監視データによれば、今年第43週(10月19日～25日)のインフルエンザ様外来・救急受診者数は110,442人回で、前週比15.6％減少するも、前週(10月21日～27日)は、合併症併発による重症患者は38例（H1N1型13例、H3N2型24例、未分類A型1例）、死者は13例（H1N1型8例、H3N2型5例）となっており、台湾におけるインフルエンザは現在流行期に入っている。研究室のモニタリングデータによると、現在社会で流行している呼吸器病原体は主にインフルエンザウイルスであり 、その中で最も一般的なのはA型H3N2で、次にA型H1N1、B型が続いている。
また、国内の新型コロナウイルス感染症の流行は現在、低い水準にある。第43週の新型コロナウイルス感染症による外来・救急受診者数は1,348人回で、前週比26.0％減少しているが、主流変異株はNB.1.8.1である。
世界では新型コロナウイルス陽性率は最近上昇の傾向にあり、欧州とアフリカで陽性率が上昇、南北アメリカ大陸全体の流行が増加している。流行している変異株はXFGが最多で、NB.1.8.1がこれに次いでいる。日本、韓国、中国、香港などの近隣諸国/地域は依然NB.1.8.1の比率が最も高くなっている。
