疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は本日（7月25日）、「国内の新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）の流行が既にピーク期に入りしたこと、また、データにより、本土重症例の大半が依然65歳以上の高齢者および慢性疾患を有する人であること、うちその9割以上が今季のワクチン未接種者であることから、国民の健康を守るため、衛生福利部感染症予防管理諮問委員会（ACIP）と協議の上、6ヶ月以上ワクチンを接種していない人を対象に、公費によるワクチンの拡大接種措置を9月28日まで延長することを決定した。
今季ワクチンを未だ接種していない人は、この流行の波に対する免疫を獲得するため、急いで接種を完了してほしい」と発表した。
疾管署は、
「現在入手可能なワクチンは、今流行中の変異株に対し依然有効だ。
2026年7月24日時点で、今期はワクチン約174万人回分が接種されているが、65歳以上の接種率は1回接種完了者が21%、2回目完了者が0.56%（低すぎないか？ 日本はどうなのだろう）となっている。
ワクチンの国内備蓄は十分あり、モデルナ社製ワクチン約44万回分、ノババックス社製ワクチン約3000回分を含む）44万3千回分が残っているが、ノババックス社のワクチンは、本年7月31日に有効期限が切れる。
また、三つの高リスクグループ、即、①65歳以上の高齢者、②55歳以上の先住民族、③免疫不全患者は、もし既に1回目接種を受けていれば、保護力強化のために6か月（180日）の間隔で2回目接種が受けることができる点にも留意されたい」と指摘している。

「新型コロナウイルス感染症の症例急増を受け、ワクチンに加え、疾管署は、医薬品や迅速診断キットなどの医療物資の在庫確保と準備を進めている。
公費の経口抗ウイルス薬パクスロビッド16万9千人分、ゾコーバ1万7千人分、注射剤のレムデシビル15万3千人分が確保されているが、いずれも今回流行の波に対応するのに十分な在庫があり、発注可能な契約も残っている。
市民に疑わしい症状が現れた場合、コンビニエンスストアやスーパー、薬局などで家庭用迅速診断キットを購入し、自己検査を行える；

The Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced today (July 25) that,
considering that the domestic COVID-19 epidemic has entered its epidemic phase, and according to data, the majority of severe local cases are still among the elderly aged 65 and above and those with a history of chronic diseases, more than 90% of whom have not received this season’s COVID-19 vaccine, in order to protect the health of the public,
after consulting with members of the Advisory Committee on Infectious Disease Prevention and Control (ACIP) of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, it has been decided to expand the provision of publicly funded COVID-19 vaccines to those who have not been vaccinated for more than 6 months, extending the vaccination period until September 28 this year.
It also urged those who have not yet received this season’s vaccine to complete the vaccination process as soon as possible to gain immune protection against this wave of the pandemic.
CDC points out that
currently available COVID-19 vaccines still provide protection against the currently circulating variants.
As of July 24, 2026, approximately 1.74 million COVID-19 vaccines have been administered this season. The vaccination rates among those aged 65 and above are 21% for the first dose and 0.56% for the second dose.
Domestic COVID-19 vaccine reserves are sufficient, with 443,000 doses remaining (including approximately 440,000 doses of Moderna vaccine and approximately 3,000 doses of Novavax vaccine), though, the Novavax vaccine expires on July 31st of this year.
Furthermore, it is recommended that three high-risk groups—seniors aged 65 and above, indigenous people aged 55 and above, and those with compromised immune systems—can receive a second dose if they have already received one dose and the interval is 6 months (180 days) to enhance their protection.
CDC stated that, in response to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, in addition to vaccines, the CDC has also inventoried and prepared medical supplies such as medications and rapid testing kits. There are 169,000 doses of the publicly funded oral antiviral drug Paxlovid and 17,000 doses of Xocova, as well as 153,000 doses of injectable Remdesivir.

疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(25)日表示，考量國內新冠疫情已進入流行期，且依資料顯示，本土重症病例仍以65歲以上長者及具慢性病史者為多，其中9成以上都未接種本季新冠疫苗，
為保障國人健康，經諮詢衛生福利部傳染病防治諮詢會預防接種組(ACIP)委員，決定將公費新冠疫苗擴大提供滿6個月以上尚未接種民眾，接種措施延長至今年9月28日止，呼籲尚未接種本季新冠疫苗民眾，趕快完成接種，獲得免疫保護以應對此波疫情。
疾管署指出，
目前提供之新冠疫苗對現在流行之變異株仍具保護力。截至今(2026)年7月24日，本季新冠疫苗接種累計約174萬人次，65歲以上長者接種率分別為第1劑21%、第2劑0.56%。
國內新冠疫苗庫存充足，尚有44.3萬劑(包含Moderna疫苗約44萬劑及Novavax疫苗約0.3萬劑)，其中Novavax新冠疫苗效期至今年7月31日。
另提醒65歲以上長者、55歲以上原住民及免疫不全者等3類高風險對象如已接種1劑且間隔6個月(180天)，還可再接種第2劑，提升保護力。
疾管署表示，
因應近期新冠疫情升溫，除疫苗外，疾管署亦針對藥物及快篩等醫藥物資盤點整備，公費口服抗病毒藥物倍拉維(Paxlovid)尚有16.9萬人份、舒冠效(Xocova)1.7萬人份，注射用瑞德西韋亦有庫存15.3萬劑，
庫存均充足，足敷此波疫情使用且還有開口合約可叫貨。
