疾管署の監視データによると、今年4月7日時点で、輸入症例は累計7例となっており、過去19年間（2007～2025年）の同期での最多となっている。年齢的には20代から60代であり、感染国はシエラレオネ、ソロモン諸島（各2例）、タンザニア、ケニア、その他（中央アフリカの多数の国）（各1例）である。そのうち6例は熱帯熱マラリア（Plasmodium falciparum）に感染しており、1例は三日熱マラリア（Plasmodium vivax）に感染していた。過去19年間（2007年～2025年）に確認されている症例は計194例で、全て海外から持ち込まれたものだ。感染地域は主にアフリカ諸国であり、検出された病原体は熱帯熱マラリアが主なもので、三日熱マラリアがこれに次いでいる。
疾病管制署は「今年に入ってからのマラリア輸入症例7例には１例の重症例が含まれているが、この患者は60代の台湾籍男性で本年（2025年）2月下旬に中央アフリカと西アフリカへのツアーに参加していた。3月21日に台湾に帰国後、全身倦怠感、吐き気、嘔吐、下痢、黄疸などの症状が出て、診療所を受診

According to the monitoring data of the CDC, as of April 7 this year, there have been a total of 7 imported cases in Taiwan, the highest in the same period in the past 19 years (2007-2025). The patients were aged between 20 and 60 years old. The infected countries were Sierra Leone and Solomon Islands with 2 cases each, Tanzania, Kenya and Others (many countries in Central Africa) with 1 case each. Among them, 6 cases were infected with P. falciparum malaria and 1 case was infected with P. vivax malaria. In the past 19 years (2007-2025), a total of 194 confirmed cases were reported, all of which were imported from abroad. The infected areas are mostly in African countries, and the main pathogen detected is falciparum malaria, followed by Plasmodium vivax malaria.
The Centers for Disease Control explains that among the seven imported malaria cases this year, one was a severe case of a Taiwanese male in his 60s who traveled to Central and West Africa as part of a tour group in late February this year (2025). 依疾管署監測資料顯示，國內今年截至4月7日累計7例境外移入個案，為近19年(2007-2025年)同期最高，年齡介於20多歲至60多歲，感染國家分別為獅子山及索羅門群島各2例、坦尚尼亞、肯亞及其他(非洲中部多國)各1例，其中6例感染惡性瘧，1例感染間日瘧。近19年(2007-2025)累計194例確定病例，均為境外移入，感染地區以非洲國家為多，檢出病原體以惡性瘧為主，其次為間日瘧。
