疾病管制署（以下「疾管署」）は本日（2月25日）「全国の下痢症救急外来受診者数が微増しており、手指と食品の衛生を良好に保つよう注意喚起する。もし下痢や嘔吐などの症状が現れた場合、腸管感染症の感染リスク低減のため、早急に病院を受診し、自宅で休養をとらねばならない；飲食・宿泊業者は、環境と従業員の衛生管理を強化し、従業員及び人々の健康を確保するように」と発表した。
疾管署の監視データによると、本年第8週（2月16日～2月22日）に台湾で下痢による救急外来受診者数は304,418人回で、前週の289,
666人回から5.1％の上昇を示したが、依然として過去5年間（2021～2025年）の同期最多となっている；また、直近の4週間（第5週～第8週）に全国で報告された下痢症のクラスターは計410件あり、これも過去5年の同期として最多となった。飲食業と宿泊業で発生したものが最多となっており、このうち病原体検査で陽性となったのは203件で、その大半がノロウイルス（195
