疾病管制署（以下、『疾管署』）は本日（12月26日）「台湾ではマラリアの新規症例が1例増えたが、20代の本国籍女性で、今年（2024年）11月上旬にアフリカのルワンダに渡航したが、マラリアの予防薬を服用していなかった；彼女は11月20日にドバイの地元病院により重度のマラリアと診断されたが、治療後に症状は改善し、11月30日に台湾に帰国し、12月21日に悪寒、骨痛、筋肉痛を伴う発熱が現れたが、上気道感染症の症状はなかった。彼女が病院の救急外来を受診したところ、悪性マラリア（熱帯マラリアとも）が再発したものと診断された。治療後の容体は安定しており、現在は自宅療養中だが、衛生単位が患者の健康状態と検査結果をフォローアップしている」と発表した。

The Department of Disease Control (hereinafter referred to as the CDC) announced today (December 26) that there is one new case of imported malaria in Taiwan, a Taiwanese female in her 20s. She traveled to Rwanda, Africa, in early November this year (2024), but did not take malaria preventive medication; She was diagnosed with severe malaria at a local hospital in Dubai on November 20. Her symptoms improved after treatment, and returned to Taiwan on November 30 and developed fever on December 21, accompanied by chills, bone pain, muscle pain and no symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection. She went to the hospital emergency department and was diagnosed with a recurrence of falciparum malaria (also known as tropical malaria). 疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(26)日公布國內新增1例境外移入瘧疾病例，為20多歲本國籍女性，今(2024)年11月上旬曾至非洲盧安達，但未服用瘧疾預防用藥；11月20日在杜拜當地醫院診斷瘧疾重症，經治療後症狀改善，11月30日返國，12月21日因出現發燒，伴隨寒顫、骨痛、肌肉痛且無上呼吸道感染症狀，至醫院急診，經診斷為惡性瘧(又稱熱帶瘧)再發。個案經治療後狀況穩定，目前在家休養中，衛生單位將追蹤個案健康狀況及後續檢驗結果。
依疾管署監測資料顯示，國內今年截至12月24日共計9例瘧疾確定病例，均為境外移入，較過去五年(2019-2023年)同期2-7例略高，分別為5例外國籍及4例本國籍，發病年齡介於20多歲至60多歲，檢出病
