疾病管制署は本日（7月23日）、本年（2024年）最初のボツリヌス中毒症例を発表したが、これは2020年7月以来初めて確認された症例でもある。患者は慢性疾患の病歴を持つ南部の50代女性だが、7月13日に、腹痛や下痢、眼瞼下垂、嚥下困難および発話困難、全身衰弱などの神経症状が相次ぎ現れ、救急外来を受診した。
7月14日に医師の通報で検査が実施され、7月19日にボツリヌス中毒と診断され、現在、集中治療室で治療を受けている。
疾管署は、衛生単位による調査の結果、この患者が一人暮らしで、期限切れ食品を食べる習慣があったが、食事歴については挿管されていることから詳細を尋ねられなかったと説明。疾管署の監視データによ

The Department of Disease Control and Prevention announced today (July 23) the first case of botulism poisoning this year (2024), which is also the first confirmed case since July 2020. She is a southern woman in her 50s with a history of chronic illness, she developed neurological symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, drooping eyelids, difficulty swallowing and speaking, and general weakness and went to the emergency department on July 13. On July 14, the doctor notified her for examination and she was diagnosed with botulism poisoning on July 19. She is still being treated in the intensive care unit.
The CDC stated that after investigation by the health unit, the case lived alone and had a habit of eating expired food. The case was intubated and it was not possible to inquire in detail about the dietary history. According to surveillance

疾病管制署今(23)日公布今(2024)年首例肉毒桿菌中毒病例，也是2020年7月以來首例確診，為南部50多歲女性，具慢性病史，7月13日陸續出現腹痛、腹瀉、眼瞼下垂、吞嚥及說話困難、全身無力等神經學症狀至急診，7月14日醫師通報採檢送驗，於7月19日確診肉毒桿菌中毒，目前仍於加護病房治療中。
疾管署說明，經衛生單位調查，個案獨居且有食用過期食品習慣，個案插管尚無法詳細詢問飲食史。依據
