2020年05月22日0時～24時までに、31省（自治区、直轄市）と新疆生産建設兵団が、新たに確診患者0例、うち海外からの輸入患者0例、国内0例； 死亡者0例； 疑似症例2例（海外からの輸入1例： 上海1例）、国内1例（吉林1例）が増えたと報告。
当日、新たに増えた治癒退院患者は3例、当日医学観察を解除された濃厚接触者252例、重症症例は1例の増加。

湖北省では新たな確診患者数0例、輸入症例0例が増え、現有確診患者数7例（全7例が武漢、うち、重症1例、危篤1例）、現有疑似症例0例が報告されている。 累計治癒退院者数は63,616例（武漢市46,464例）、累計死亡者数は4,512例（武漢市3,869例）、累計確診患者数68,135例（武漢50,340例）となった。新たな無症状感染者25例（武漢については言及なし。ただし、湖北省により22日に発表されていた全省の35人中35人が武漢市のものと本23日判明：By武漢市衛健委5月22日情報）が増え、当日確定に転じたものは0例、隔離解除されたものは14例、医学観察中の無症状感染者は295例だと報告している。

31省（自治区、直轄市）および新疆生産建設兵団が新たに「無症状病原体保有者」28例、うち、海外からの輸入無症状病原体保有者は2例（＝ 国内26例）；当日確診患者に転じたもの0例（海外からの輸入症例0例）； 当日医学観察を解除されたもの23例（海外からの輸入2例）を報告した。 今なお医学観察を受けている無症状病原体保有者は370例（海外からの輸入無症状病原体保有者26例）となる。

2 newly added suspected cases: of which one (1) is imported from abroad (1 in Shanghai) and one (1) case is in mainland China (1 in Jilin).

There was no (0) newly diagnosed cases in Hubei (the case is converted from asymptomatic case in Wuhan City), no (0) imported cases.
At present, there are 7 diagnosed cases (7 in Wuhan: 1 severe case and 1 critical case), no (0) suspected cases, currently.
There is a total of 63,616 cured and discharged patients (46,464 in Wuhan), a total of 4,512 deaths (3,869 in Wuhan), and a total of 68,135 diagnosed cases (50,340 in Wuhan).
