疾病管制署（以下疾管署）は本日（2月27日）、「今年（2025年）台湾初の腸病毒感染による重篤な合併症により死亡した症例が出た。患者は台湾北部で生まれた生後1か月未満の新生児で、2月16日に軽度の息切れと活動力低下により新生児病棟に入院し、2月19日に発熱や呼吸困難、チアノーゼを呈し、2月20日に新生児集中治療室（NICU）に移送されるも2月23日、多臓器不全と新生児敗血症により死亡した；検査・試験の結果、エコーウイルス11型への感染により重症の合併症をおこしていたことが確認された」と発表した。
