疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(11)日表示，上週新增9例新冠併發重症本土病例中就有7例未接種JN.1疫苗，且自去(2024)年10月1日起JN.1疫苗開打以來，高達96%以上的新冠併發重症本土及死亡病例皆未接種JN.1疫苗，另JN.1疫苗對於目前全球流行變異株XEC亦具有保護力，呼籲尚未接種JN.1疫苗民眾儘速完成接種，降低重症及死亡風險。
疾管署說明，國內新冠肺炎疫情處低點波動，惟持續新增重症病例，上週(3/4-3/10)新增9例新冠併發重症本土病例，無新增死亡病例；自2024年9月1日起截至2025年3月10日，新冠併發重症本土病例累計516例，其中111例死亡，均以65歲以上長者及具慢性病史者為多，其中自2024年10月1日起通報之確定及死亡病例未接種
