疾病管制署（以下、疾管署）は本日（1月7日）、「国内で新たに麻疹の確診症例4例が見つかったが、2例は、中部の病院クラスターに関連する30代男性（症例1）および40代男性（症例2）であり；ほかの2例は、ベトナム及びインドからの輸入症例となる50代女性（症例3）および30代男性（症例4）だ。 4症例共に2024年1月23日から2025年1月1日の間に発症しているとともに2024年12月28日から2025年1月4日の間に発疹が現れていた。うち、症例1、症例3と症例4は台北市、台中市、高雄市での活動歴があり、感染期間中に公共交通機関を利用していたが、関係県市はその活動歴を公表している。同期間中に当該場所への出入りがあった人は、18日間の健康管理を行い、発熱や鼻炎、結膜炎、咳、紅疹などの疑い症状が出た場合、早急に衛生単位と連携の上、衛生単位が手配した病院をマスク着用の上受診すると同時に、接触歴を伝えるようにしてほしい 。中部の病院関連クラスターではこれまでに16例が確診されているが、ここには2024年12月10日に発表された初発症例や同じ便に搭乗していた確診患者1例、およびこれに続いて病院関連の確診症例が含まれている。 衛生単位は既に接触者計3,123人を掌握しているがうち1,609人については監視期間を終了している。 本クラスターの監視は2025年1月23日まで続けられる；更にベトナム及びインドからの輸入症例の接触者については衛生単位がリストアップを継続しているが、
