台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、本日9月19日、「台湾で新たにオミクロン亜型変異株の確診症例が計234例が増えたが、本土で179例：うちBA.5型（106例）、BA.2型（73例）； 輸入で68例：うちBA.4型（2例）、BA.5型（59例）、BA.2.75型（5例）、BA.2型（2例）だった。これまでに台湾で検出されたオミクロン亜型変異株の輸入症例累計は： BA.5型（803例）、BA.4型（88例）、BA.2.75型（6例）、BA.2型（983例）、また、本土症例累計はBA.5型（430例）、BA.4型（4例）、BA.2型（2,452例）、が見つかっているが本土症例ではBA2.75型の感染者はまだ見つかっていない」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに見つかったBA.5型106例の本土症例は、先週見つかった179例中の59.2％を占めているが、7月22日から9月11日の間に確診された5歳から80代の男性47名、女性59名となり、北部で49例、中部で30例、南部で25例、東部で2例と分布」と指摘した。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (September 19) that Taiwan added 247 confirmed cases of Omicron subtype variants, including 179 local cases (106 BA.5 cases, 73 BA.2 cases) and 68 imported cases (2 BA.4 cases, 59 BA.5 cases, 5 BA2,75 case and 2 BA.2 cases). Confirmed cases of imported Omicron subtype mutants detected in Taiwan so far: 803 BA.5 cases, 88 BA.4 cases, 16 BA.2.75 cases and 983 BA.2 cases, further, there are 430 BA.5 cases and 4 BA.4 cases, 2,452 BA.2 local confirmed cases, there is no BA.2.75 local confirmed case.
The command center pointed out that the 106 new local cases of BA.5 today accounted for 59.2% of all the 179 cases that had been sequenced last week (diagnosed between Jul. 22 and Sept. 11) , including 47 males and 59 females,
