香港衛生署衛生防護センター（以下CHP）は、2021年09月17日、大陸で新たに増えたヒト感染H5N6鳥インフルエンザ患者1例について注視していると同時に、市民に対し、香港居住中であれ外遊期間中であれ、個人や食物の環境衛生を保つよう要請するとした。
患者は、湖南省永州市の40歳女性だが、発症前に、活禽市場に行っていた。彼女は9月8日に発症し、9月9日、治療のため入院したが、病状は重篤だ。
2014年からこれまでに、内地衛生当局は合計43人のヒト感染A型鳥インフルエンザ（H5N6）患者を報告している。
CHPのスポークスマンは： 『H5N6を含めてあらゆる新型のA型インフルエンザは香港においては法により全て報告されねばならない感染症である』と語った。

The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health is today (September 17) closely monitoring a human case of avian influenza A(H5N6) in the mainland, and again urged the public to maintain strict personal, food and environmental hygiene both locally and during travel.
The case involved is a 40-year-old woman living in Yongzhou, Hunan. She is had contact with live poultry. She developed symptoms on September 8 and was admitted for treatment on Aept. 9. The patient is in serious condition.
From 2014 to date, 43 human cases of avian influenza A(H5N6) have been reported by Mainland health authorities.
“All novel influenza A infections, including H5N6, are notifiable infectious diseases in Hong Kong,” a spokesman for the CHP said.
Travelers to the Mainland or other affected areas must avoid visiting wet markets, live poultry markets or farms. They should be alert to the presence of backyard poultry when visiting relatives and friends. They should also avoid

卫生署卫生防护中心今日（九月十七日）正密切监察内地新增一宗人类感染甲型禽流感（H5N6）个案，并再次呼吁市民，不论在本地或外游期间，应时刻保持个人、食物和环境卫生。
个案涉及一名居于湖南省永州市的40岁女子，于发病前曾到活禽市场。她于九月八日出现病征，翌日入院接受治疗，目前情况严重。
自二○一四年至今，内地卫生当局通报共43宗人类感染甲型禽流感（H5N6）个案。
卫生防护中心发言人说∶「所有新型甲型流感，包括H5N6，在香港均为法定须呈报传染病。」
