03月27日、 山西省臨汾市洪洞県の某採卵用ニワトリの養殖家で飼育されていた鳥インフルエンザを疑う症状が発生、 1,000羽が発病、 810羽が病死した。
03月31日、 山西省動物疫病予防管理センターが鳥インフルエンザ疑いと診断。
04月04日、 国家鳥インフルエンザ参考実験室が、 これをH7N9インフルエンザと確定診断した。
インフルエンザ発生後、 現地では 関連対応プランと予防治療技術規範の要求に基づき、 適切にインフルエンザ処置活動を行っており、 既に 6,374羽の殺処分と 無害化処理を行っている。
現時点では、 このインフルエンザは有効に制御されている。

On March 27, 2014, there were suspected avian flu symptoms in laying hens raised by a farmer in Hongdong County of Linyi City in Shanxi Province, with a disease incidence of 812 cases and 699 deaths.
On March 31, the Shanxi Provincial Animal Disease Prevention Control Center diagnosed it suspicious as avian flu outbreak.
April 4, diagnosed by the National Reference Laboratory of Avian Influenza, the outbreak was caused by H7N9 influenza.
After this, the local authorities, in accordance with the requirements of the relevant prevention/control plans and technical requirements, developed effective activities toward the epidemic, and already culled and detoxified 6,374 poultry(s). At present, the avian flu has been effectively controlled.
