広東省衛生計生委は、2014年1月28日、賀州市で1名の重篤な気道感染患者が報告され、29日21時30分、自治区疾病管理センターと中国疾病管理センターによる検査と再検査の結果、検体がH7N9核酸陽性という結果を得た。 自治区衛生庁専門家グループが、疫学的観点、臨床症状、検査結果などから、この患者をヒト感染H7N9鳥インフルエンザ患者と確診した。
この患者は広西省初のH7N9患者となる。

January 28, 2014, a case of severe acute respiratory infection was reported by Hezhou City. At 21:30 on January 29, through the review by the Autonomous Region Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the specimens were tested positive for H7N9 nucleic acid. According to the epidemiological history of patients, clinical manifestations and laboratory test results, the expert group of the Department of Health of the Autonomous Region judged the case as infected with H7N9 avian flu. This is the first case of H7N9 avian flu diagnosed in Guangxi.
The case (FT#267), Ms. Su, is a 56-year-old farmer who lives in Lingfeng town of Babu district in Hezhou city. She had fever and cough for 6 days, and exacerbation of shortness of breath, visited two private clinics, but no improvement was shown. On the 27th went to Lingfeng Hospital for treatment, the hospital doctors, considering the patient’s condition, immediately transferred her to Hezhou People’s Hospital for diagnosis and treatment. At present, patient is in Hezhou People’s Hospital ICU for treatment, but critically ill now. Autonomous Region’s Medical group is organizing a full rescue. Through the epidemiological survey, the case had live poultry exposure history before the onset. The 19 close contacts in this case have been taken timely medical observation and no abnormalities have been found so far.
