日本脳炎は中国では乙型脳炎（B型脳炎）とも呼ばれる。 蚊に刺されることで感染することから、夏場に患者が多くなる。
2016年は、 昨年の 2倍を超える 1237人となり、 2017年は 月報累計による 速報ベースでは1244人だったが、 『年末調整』により 1,417となり、 月報累計に173人が足された。
2018年05月度は、発症者数 6人、 死亡者数 3人であった。

2017年 的 病人数 是 1417人 （死亡 的 79人） 。 去年的结果 比「2017年12个月的累积」 多了173名（被调整加上了173名）。

According to the National Health Commission (NHC)’s notification on June 14, 2018, we visualized the past several years’ diagnosed cases / Death case in several slides (PDF style).
“Japanese Encephalitis” in mainland China:
Since this Infectious disease is infected through mosquito, the case being diagnosed will increase in the summer season.
From the third peak of 2007, Diagnosed cases and death is decreasing year by year. The total number of the diagnosed cases in the year 2016 was 1,237 which was more than doubled when compared to 2016. In 2017, the accumulation of twelve months was 1,244. The final number of the patient in the yearly report showed 1,477 where 173 cases were added to the accumulated number.
