疾病管理予防センター（以下CDC）は、「4月26日、台湾で新たにサル痘（Mpox）の本土症例12例が増えたが、全員台湾籍の男性で、20代～60代の北部の11例、南部の1例となっている。3月16日～4月23日に発熱やリンパ腺腫大、水疱、膿疱、ヘルペスなどの症状が相次いで現れ、医師の診察を受けたのちに検査・報告され、4月18日～4月25日に確診された。疫学調査の結果、高リスクの接触者計25名がリストアップされ、既に健康教育と21日間の自己健康観察を受けている」と発表。

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (hereinafter referred to as the CDC) announced on April 26 that there were 12 new local cases of monkeypox (Mpox) in Taiwan, all of whom were Taiwanese males. They are 11 cases living in the north and 1 case in the center, aged between their 20s and 60s. Their onset dates ranged from March 16 to April 23, due to symptoms such as fever, swollen lymph glands, blisters, pustules, and herpes successively appearing in the body, after evaluation by a doctor, a test was taken and reported, and the diagnosis was confirmed from April 18 to April 25, respectively. 疾病管制署(下稱疾管署)今(26)日公布國內新增12例猴痘(Mpox)本土病例，均為本國籍男性，分別為北部11例及中部1例，年齡介於20多歲至60多歲，發病日介於3月16日至4月23日，因身體陸續出現發燒、淋巴腺腫大、水泡、膿疱及皰疹等症狀，經醫師評估後採檢通報，分別於4月18日至4月25日確診。經疫調匡列相關高風險接觸者25名，已進行衛教並自我健康監測21天。
疾管署指出，我國自去(2022)年6月23日將Mpox列為第二類法定傳染病，截至今日累計確診52例病例
