2020年08月05日0時～24時までに、31省（自治区、直轄市）と新疆生産建設兵団が、新たに確診患者37例（宮本注：新疆は27例、香港では85人増）、うち海外からの輸入患者7例（上海5例、山東1例、陝西1例）； 国内30例（新疆ウィグル自治区27例 ＝ 遼寧3例、北京0例＝河北省0例）； 死亡者0例； 疑似症例0例、うち海外からの輸入0例＝ 国内0例が増えたと報告（北京市での患者発見はゼロになってから22日目で発生！3日連続で患者が発生していましたが再びゼロになりこれで5日目。4日にまたもや患者が発見されるが、輸入患者である点が救い。5日は再びゼロに。 河北省は42日間連続ゼロとなりました！）。
7月15日以後の新疆における状況については別途しています。また、7月22日からは遼寧省大連市でも患者が増え、PCR検査を巡る暴力事件なども発生しています。 衛生健康委の情報による両地の発生状況は以下の通り：
新疆では、15日（1例）から患者が見つかっていますが、衛健委は16日から報告された形になっています。
遼寧では7月22日（1例）、23日（2例）、24日（9例）、そして25日（13例）、26日（14例）、27日（6例）、28日（8例）、29日（5例）、30日（11例）、31日（8例）、8月1日（3例）2日（1例）、3日（2例）で4日（0例）、本5日に3例という状況（即、15日で86人）になっています。
当日、新たに増えた治癒退院患者は10例、当日医学観察を解除された濃厚接触者474例、重症症例増減は －2例（減少）。

At 00:00 – 24:00 on Aug. 05, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported:
37 newly diagnosed case: of which Seven (7) cases were imported from abroad (5 in Shanghai, 1 in Shandong, 1 in Shaanxi), 30 cases are in mainland China (of which all of 27 are in Xinjiang, = 3 in Liaoning, = 0 in Beijing = 0 in Hebei);
No (0) newly added death case (= 0 in Hubei);
No (0) newly added suspected cases: of which no (0) cases were imported from abroad, none (0) in mainland China (= 0 in Beijing).
