01月21日、 農業農村部 新聞弁公室は、違法に輸入されたものではないかというアフリカ豚熱（以下 『ASF』）のアウトブレイクが発生したと広東省梅州市が報告した。
農業農村部は、01月21日、平遠県の養殖場で違法に輸入されたことにより発生したとみられるASFのアウトブレイクについて、広東省動物疾病予防管理センターがこれを確診したとの中国動物疾病予防管理センターからの報告を受け取った。ASF発生時、養殖場内には仔ブタ1,015頭中、214頭が発病、214頭が病死していた。
