11月08日、農業農村部新聞弁公室は、福建省莆田市城廂区でアフリカ豚コレラ （宮本注： 以下『ASF』）が 検出されたと発表した。
11月08日16時、農業農村部は、中国動物衛生疫学センター（国家外来動物疾病研究センター）が、福建省莆田市城廂区にある養豚場でのASF発生を確定診断したとの中国動物疾病予防管理センター報告を受け取った。 当該養豚場で飼育されていた4,521頭のうち、85頭が発症し、85頭が病死している。

On November 8, 2018, the Information Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced that an African Swine Fever epidemic was detected at Chengxiang District of Putian City in Hubei Province.
At 16 o’clock on November 8, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs received a report from the China Animal Disease Prevention and Control Center mentioning that an African Swine Fever was detected at a pig farmer at Chengxiang District of Putian City in Hubei Province.
The farmer had 4,521 live pigs of which 85 pigs got sick and 85 died.
