10月09日、 農業農村部 新聞弁公室は、重慶市酉陽県が押収した外省から違法搬入された仔ブタからアフリカ豚コレラ （以下 『ASF』）を検出したと発表した。
農業農村部は、10月9日、酉陽県桃花源駅下部の交差点で差し押さえられた外省から違法調達された仔ブタからASFを検出し、重慶市動物疾病予防管理センターが確診したとの中国動物疾病予防管理センターからの報告を受け取った。仔ブタ押収時、ロット内のブタ70頭中、14頭が発病、2頭が病死していた。

10月9日，农业农村部接到中国动物疫病预防控制中心报告，经重庆市动物疫病预防控制中心确诊，在酉阳县桃花源站下道口处查获的外省违规调运仔猪中排查出非洲猪瘟疫情。查获时，该批仔猪共70头，发病14头，死亡2头。
疫情发生后，当地已按照要求启动应急响应，对所有仔猪进行扑杀和无害化处理，对相关场所、沿途道路及运输
