中国生態環境部は3月10日、COVID-19関連の医療廃棄物は基本的に『（産出されたものは）日々完全処分』で行っているが、本年1月20日から3月7日までに全土で合計136,000トンの医療廃棄物を処理したと発表した。
生態環境部応急弁公室の趙群英主任は、10日、北京で記者に、生態環境省は医療廃棄物処理施設の運営を注意深く監視していると語った。 現在、31の省、自治区、直轄市及び新疆生産建設兵団の358都市には集中医療廃棄物処理単位487か所があり、実際の平均処理能力は6,022トン/日となり、1月20日以前の平均処理能力である4,902.8トン/日より1,119.2トン23％増加している。

Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China reported on March 10 that from January 20 to March 7, a total of 136,000 tons of medical waste was disposed of throughout the country, and medical waste related to the novel coronavirus pneumonia is disposed daily in the elementary sense.
Zhao Qunying, director of the Emergency Management Office of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, told reporters in Beijing on March 10 that the Ministry of Ecology and Environment closely monitors the operation of medical waste disposal facilities. At present, there are 487 centralized medical waste disposal units in 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and 358 cities in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. 中国生态环境部10日消息，1月20日至3月7日，全国累计处置医疗废物13.6万吨，涉疫情医疗废物基本“日产日清”。
生态环境部应急办主任赵群英10日在北京对记者表示，生态环境部密切监控医疗废物处置设施运行情况。目前，全国31个省、自治区、直辖市和新疆生产建设兵团358个城市共有医疗废物集中处置单位487家，日均实际处置能力为6022吨，较1月20日前的日均处置能力4902.8吨增加应急处置能力日均1119.2吨，增加了23%。
