台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、本日5月21日、「新たに増えたCOVID-19確診症例は84639例（うち本土症例84587、輸入症例52例：34例は着陸時検査で陽性とされたもの）；更に、確診症例中では、59例の死亡者が出た」と発表。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに増えた国内症例84587例は、5歳未満から90代の男性40348例、女性44215例、性別調査中24!!例だ。患者分布は、新台北市（23346例）、台北市（10590例）、桃園市（10453例）、台中市（7989例）、高雄市（7646例）、台南市（4609例）、彰化県（2808例）、新竹県（2472例）、屏東県（2265例）、宜蘭県（2019例）、基隆市（1757例）、苗栗県（1601例）、新竹市（1575例）、花蓮県（1219例）、雲林県（1128例）、南投県（924例）、嘉義県（780例）、台東県（576例）、嘉義市（505例）、澎湖県（184例）、金門県（135例）、および連江県（6例）。関連の調査が進行中である」としている。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (May 21) that there were 84,639 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, including 84,587 local and 53 imported cases (34 were positive for flight landing tests); further, there were 59 deaths.
The command center stated that the new 84587 local cases today are 40348 males and 44215 females, (24 are under investigation of gender), aged between under 5 years old and 90s. The distribution of cases is New Taipei City (23346 cases), Taipei City (10590 cases), Taoyuan City (10453 cases), Taichung City (7989 cases), Kaohsiung City (7646 cases), Tainan City (4609 cases), Changhua County (2808 cases), Hsinchu County (2472 cases), Pingtung County (2265 cases), Yilan County (2019 cases), Keelung City (1757 cases), Miaoli County (1601 cases), Hsinchu City (1575 cases), Hualien County (1219 cases), Yunlin County (1128 cases), Nantou County (924 cases), Chiayi County (780 cases), Taitung County (576 cases), Chiayi City (505 cases), Penghu County (184 cases), Jinmen County (135 cases), Lianjiang County (6 case). The related epidemic investigation is ongoing.

指揮中心表示，今日新增之84,587例本土病例，為40,348例男性，44,215例女性，24例調查中，年齡介於未滿5歲至90歲以上，個案分布為新北市23,346例，台北市10,590例，桃園市10,453例，台中市7,989例，高雄市7,646例，台南市4,609例，彰化縣2,808例，新竹縣2,472例，屏東縣2,265例，宜蘭縣2,019例，基隆市1,757例，苗栗縣1,601例，新竹市1,575例，花蓮縣1,219例，雲林縣1,128例，南投縣924例，嘉義縣780例，台東縣576例，嘉義市505例，澎湖縣184例，金門縣135例，連江縣6例，相關疫情調查持續進行中。
