台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、「7月02日、新たにCOVID-19確診症例が58例増えたが、それぞれ、本土症例57例、輸入症例1例となっている；更に、確診症例中、新たに15例が死亡した」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに国内症例57例が増えた（うち22例は在宅隔中或いは隔離期間満了検査で陽性となった人である：（宮本注 つまり、2週間或いは3週間を超えて感染が確認された事例が斯くも多く存在しているという情報を台湾政府が公開））が、5歳未満から90代までの男性25人、女性32人であり、2021年6月22日～7月01日の間に発症していた。 患者分布は、台北市が29例と最多で、次いで新北市の15例、桃園市及び基隆市各3例、台中市2例、新竹市1例となっている； そのうち、28例の感染源は既に判明、6例が関連不明、23例が疫学調査中となっているが、関連調査は今なお進められている」と発表した。

指揮センターは、「最近隔離を解除された確診症例については、5月11日～ 6月30日迄に発表された13,605例中、既に10,347人が隔離を解除されており、確診患者総数の76.1％が隔離解除されたことになる」と指摘する。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced on July 02 that there were 58 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Taiwan consisting of 57 local cases and one (1) imported case from abroad. There were 15 new deaths among the confirmed cases.
The command center said, the newly added 57 local cases (of which 22 cases were those who tested positive during home quarantine/isolation or after the expiry date of isolation) today are 25 males and 32 females, aged under 5 to in their 90s, with onset dates between June 22 and July 01, 2021. The distribution of cases is 29 cases in Taipei City, followed by 15 cases in New Taipei City, 4 cases in Hsinchu County, 3 cases each in Taoyuan City and Keelung City, 2 cases in Taizhong City, 1 case in Hsinchu City; Out of 57 cases, 28 cases are known their sources of infection, 6 cases’ relation is unknown, 23 cases are under investigation. Related epidemic investigations are ongoing.
The command center described, the 15 new deaths reported today are, 8 males and 7 females, ranging in age from their 40s to 80s. The onset date is between May 25 and June 21, the date of diagnosis is between May 28 and June 28, the date of death is between June 03 and June 30; as for details, see the attachment.
The command center pointed out that as for the recently released diagnosed cases from isolation, 10,347 people have been released from quarantine, among 13,605 confirmed cases announced from May 11 to June 29. The number of people released from quarantine has reached 76.1% of the confirmed cases.

指揮中心表示，今日新增之57例本土病例(其中22例為居家隔離期間或期滿檢驗陽性者)，為25例男性、32例女性，年齡介於未滿5歲至90多歲，發病日介於今(2021)年6月22日至7月1日。個案分布以臺北市29例最多，其次為新北市15例、新竹縣4例、桃園市及基隆市各3例、臺中市2例、新竹市1例；其中28例為已知感染源、6例關聯不明、23例調查中，相關疫情調查持續進行中。
