中央流行疫情指揮センターは、本3月06日、新たにCOVID-19の輸入症例7例が確定診断されたが、夫々インドネシア、フィリピンからの入国者であった； また、確診症例1例（第935号）が死亡したと発表した。
指揮センターは、「7名は20代から40代の男性漁師で、うち2人はインドネシア籍（第962号、963号）、5人がフィリピン籍（第964号、965号、966号、967号、968号）となっており、今年（2021年）2月19日に仕事のために来台したが、全員が搭乗前72時間以内の陰性検査報告書を持ち入国、その時点では不快な症状はなく、入国後は集中隔離所で隔離されていた； 7人は3月4日に隔離期間満了前の検査を受け、本6日に確定診断されたが、彼らは全員が入国時から本日に至るまで無症状であり、隔離期間中には他人との接触がないためにコンタクトリストは作成していない」と発表している。
指揮センターは、「新たに増えた死亡者（第935号、台湾籍の60代男性）には糖尿病と高血圧の病歴があったが、昨2020年1月に仕事のためミャンマーに入っていたが、12月24日に現地で発症し、29日には確定診断され、30日に入院し、本年1月27日に症状が緩解したため退院していたが；その後再び呼吸困難になり、2月3日に現地で入院治療を受け、2月7日に医療専用機で台湾に戻り、入国後は入院して隔離治療を受け、同院での検査により確定診断されていた。この患者は、入院期間中、呼吸衰弱により呼吸器を使用による治療を受けていたが、3月1日に容態が悪化したためECMO治療に入るも、 多臓器不全により、昨5日に他界した」と指摘している。
指揮センターの統計によれば、これまでに新型コロナウィルス肺炎に関する通報は、国内累計で177,227例（排除された174,887例を含む）となった。 そのうち確診症例数は967例であり、夫々輸入症例851例、

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (6) that there were 7 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 imported from abroad, they entered from Indonesia and the Philippines; further, another confirmed case has died (Case 935).
The command center stated
All 7 cases were male fishermen. Among them, 2 were Indonesian (Case 962, 963), and 5 were Filipino (Case 964, 965, 966, 967, 968), and they were in their 20s to 40s. They came to work in Taiwan on February 19, 2021, all have a negative test report within 3 days before the flight and have no symptoms when entering the country, and go to the centralized quarantine station for quarantine after entry; These seven fishermen were inspected before the expiration of the quarantine period on March 4 and were diagnosed today. Since all 7 cases have been asymptomatic after they entered the country and did not have contact with others during the quarantine period, no close contacts have been listed.
The command center pointed out that the new death case (case 935, a male in his 60s) had a history of diabetes and hypertension, and went to work in Myanmar in January (2020). He became ill on December 24, diagnosed on the 29th, and was hospitalized on the 30th. He was discharged on January 27 this year when his symptoms relieved; Later, due to breathing difficulties again, he was hospitalized in Myanmar on February 3, and returned to Taiwan on a special medical plane on February 7. After entering the country, he was admitted to be hospitalized in isolation for treatment, and was diagnosed by the hospital. During the hospital stay, the patient continued to use respirators for respiratory failure. On March 1st, ECMO was used for treatment due to his condition got worsened. Later, he unfortunately passed away yesterday (Mar. 5) due to multiple organ failure.

新增7例境外移入COVID-19病例，自印尼及菲律賓入境

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(6)日公布國內新增7例境外移入COVID-19確定病例，分別自印尼及菲律賓入境；另新增1例確定病例死亡(案935)。
指揮中心表示，7名個案皆為男性漁工，其中2人為印尼籍(案962、963)，5人為菲律賓籍(案964、965、966、967、968)，年齡介於20多歲至40多歲，今(2021)年2月19日來臺工作，皆持有搭機前3日內檢驗陰性報告且入境時無不適症狀，入境後至集中檢疫所檢疫；7人於3月4日接受檢疫期滿前採檢，並於今日確診。由於7名個案入境至今皆無症狀，且檢疫期間未與他人接觸，故無匡列接觸者。
指揮中心指出，新增之死亡個案(案935，本國籍60多歲男性)有糖尿病及高血壓病史，去(2020)年1月至緬甸工作，12月24日於當地發病、29日確診、30日住院治療，今年1月27日症狀緩解後出院；後續因再度出現呼吸困難，2月3日於當地住院治療，2月7日搭乘醫療專機返台，入境後收治住院隔離治療，並經醫院採檢確診。個案住院期間因呼吸衰竭持續使用呼吸器治療，3月1日因病情惡化使用葉克膜治療，後續因多重器官衰竭不幸於昨(5)日病逝。
