中央流行疫情指揮センターは、「本3月31日、新たにCOVID-19の輸入症例6例が確定診断されたが、米国（第1026号）、ミャンマー（第1027号）、インドネシア（第1028、1029号）、エチオピア（第1030号）及びバングラデシュ（第1031号）からの来台者だ」と発表。
指揮センターは、「第1026号患者は台湾籍の70代男性で、長期間米国に在住、2021年1月3日、出国前72時間以内の陰性証明書を携えて台湾に戻り、帰台後は自宅で在宅隔離をしていた。 患者は、台湾ではずっと無症状で、3月29日に出国のため病院で自費検査を受けたところ本日確定診断された（Ct値31、翌日の再検査では36、血清抗体IgM、IgGなど全て陽性となった）。 患者の濃厚接触者53人が把握されており、うち12人は在宅隔離、41人は自主健康管理とされた。 既に48人に検査が行われ、うち17人はPCR陰性だったが、その他の人にはPCRと血清抗体検査が進められているところだ」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「第1027号患者は、ミャンマー籍の30代男性漁師で、2021年3月14日、出国前72時間以内の陰性証明書を携えて就労のため来台し、その後は防疫ホテルで在宅隔離をしていた。 患者は、3月29日に検疫期間が満了した後、会社の手配により病院に行き自費で検査を受け、本日確定診断された（Ct値35、血清抗体は検査中である）。 患者は、台湾ではずっと無症状であり、既に濃厚接触者3人が見つかっており、うち2人が在宅隔離、1人は自主健康管理とされた」と指摘している。
指揮センターは、「第1028号及び第1029号は、インドネシア籍の20代男性漁師で2021年3月4日、両人ともに出国前72時間以内の陰性証明書を携えて就労のため来台し、その後は防疫ホテルで在宅隔離をしていた。 二人は、3月17日に隔離期間満了前検査を受けたが、いずれも陰性であった。 2人は、隔離期間満了後、場所を変えて自主健康管理をしていた。3月24日、二人は、専用車で病院に行き自費検査をしたが、検査結果は陰性となったが、彼らの同行者から5人（第1015～1019号）が確診され

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (Mar. 31) 6 newly diagnosed cases of COVID-19 imported from abroad, they are from the United States (Case 1026), Myanmar (Case 1027), Indonesia (Case 1028 and 1029), Ethiopia (Case 1030) and Bangladesh (Case 1031).
The command center stated that
Case 1026 is a male of Taiwanese in his 70s, who has lived in the United States for a long time. He returned to Taiwan on Jan. 3, 2021, with a negative test report within 3 days before the flight. After entering the country, he was quarantined at his home alone. The case was asymptomatic during his stay in Taiwan. On March 29, due to the need to leave Taiwan, he went to the hospital for examination at his own expense. The diagnosis was confirmed today (Ct value 31, Ct value 36 the next day, serum antibodies IgM and IgG were all positive). A total of 53 contacts have been identified, of which 12 are listed as home isolation and 41 are listed as independent health management. 48 people have been tested, of which 17 were negative by PCR, and the rest are undergoing PCR and serum antibody tests.

case 1027 was a male fisherman in his 30s from Myanmar. He came to work in Taiwan on March 14 this year. He had a negative test report within 3 days before the flight. After entering the country, he was quarantined at home. After the quarantine period expired on March 29, the case was arranged by the company to the hospital for examination at its own expense, and the diagnosis was confirmed today (Ct value 35, serum antibody test in progress). 中央流行疫情指揮中心今(31)日公布國內新增6例境外移入COVID-19確定病例，自美國(案1026)、緬甸(案1027)、印尼(案1028及1029)、衣索比亞(案1030)及孟加拉(案1031)入境。
指揮中心表示，案1026為本國籍70多歲男性，長期居住美國，今(2021)年1月3日返臺，持有搭機前3日內檢驗陰性報告，入境後於住家單獨居家檢疫。個案在臺期間並無症狀，3月29日因出境需要，至醫院自費採檢，於今日確診(Ct值31，次日再驗Ct值36，血清抗體IgM、IgG皆為陽性)。已掌握個案接觸者共53人，其中12人列居家隔離、41人列自主健康管理。已採檢48人，其中17人PCR採檢陰性，其餘PCR及血清抗體檢驗中。
指揮中心指出，案1027為緬甸籍30多歲男性漁工，今年3月14日來臺工作，持有搭機前3日內檢驗陰性報告，入境後至防疫旅宿居家檢疫。個案3月29日檢疫期滿後由公司安排至醫院自費採檢，於今日確診(Ct值35，血清抗體檢驗中)。個案在臺期間並無症狀，已掌握個案接觸者共3人，其中2人列居家隔離、1人列自主健康管理。
