台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、10月09日、「新たにCOVID-19確診症例が4例増えたが、それぞれ、本土症例1例、輸入症例3例となっている；更に、確診症例中、新たな死亡者は1例」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに増えた国内症例1例（第16396号）は、5歳未満の女児だが、10月5日に発熱と下痢などの症状が現れ、10月7日に病院を受診して検査を受けたところ、本日確定診断された。衛生単位が既に接触者5人をリストアップ、うち4人を在宅隔離とし、その他1人を自主健康観察とすると同時に、PCR及び血清検査の手配を手配した」としている。
指揮センターは、「本日増えた輸入症例3例は、10歳未満から50代の男性1例、女性2例であり、9月24日から10月06日の間に出国前72時間以内の陰性証明を持参して、米国（第16394号、16397号）、ミャンマー（第16395号）から入境した。詳細は『☞ 20211009F 台湾新規増加輸入症例3名のリスト』を参照されたい」としている。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (October 09) that there were 4new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, including 1 local and 3 imported cases; further, there was 1 death.
The command center explained that one new local case (case 16396) was added today. It is a girl under 5 years old. She developed fever and diarrhea on October 5th (2021). She went to a doctor on October 7th and was diagnosed today (Ct value 38). The health unit has listed 5 contacts, 4 of them are listed for home isolation, and 1 is listed for independent health monitoring, and PCR and serum sampling have been arranged for all of them.
The command center pointed out that there are 3 new cases of immigration from abroad today, 1 male and 2 females, aged between under 10 and in their 50s. They entered Taiwan from the United States (Case 16394, Case 16397) and Myanmar (Case 16395). The entry date was between September 24 and October 6, and they all had a negative test report within 3 days before the flight; as for the details, please refer to the attached.

中央流行疫情指揮中心今(9)日公布國內新增4例COVID-19確定病例，分別為1例本土個案及3例境外移入；另確診個案中新增1例死亡。
指揮中心說明，今日新增1例本土個案(案16396)，為未滿5歲女童，今(2021)年10月5日出現發燒、腹瀉等症狀，10月7日就醫採檢，於今日確診(Ct值38)。衛生單位已匡列接觸者5人，其中4人列居家隔離，1人列自主健康監測，並均安排PCR及血清採檢。
指揮中心指出，今日新增3例境外移入個案，為1例男性、2例女性，年齡介於未滿10歲至50多歲，分別自美國(案16394、案16397)、及緬甸(案16395)入境，入境日介於9月24日至10月6日，皆持有搭機前3日內檢驗陰性報告；詳如新聞稿附件。
