台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、9月22日、「新たにCOVID-19確診症例が7例増えたが、それぞれ、本土症例1例、輸入症例6例となっている；更に、確診症例中、新たに1例が死亡した」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに増えた国内症例1例（第16263号）は、30代の女性だが、これまでに確診症例（第16146号、16157号）との接触歴があったため、9月7日在宅隔離対象とされていたが、9月20日に隔離期間満了前検査を受けたところ、本日確定診断された； 患者は隔離期間中には症状がなく、また他人との接触もなかったため、接触者リストは作成していない」と発表した。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに増えた死亡例1例（第16004号）は、慢性疾患歴があり、8月6日にベトナムから入境、8月17日に発熱や咽頭痛などの症状が現れ、8月18日に隔離期間満了前検査を受け確診された後に入院治療を受けていたが、9月20日に死亡した」と説明。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (September 22) that there were 7 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, including 1 local and 6 overseas immigrations; another confirmed case had 1 death.
The command center explained that today, a new local case (Case 16263), a female in her 30s, was listed as a home quarantine on September 7, 2021 due to contact with confirmed cases (Case 16146, Case 16157). She was tested before the end of the quarantine period on September 20 and was diagnosed today. During the isolation period, the case was asymptomatic and had no contact with others, so no contacts were listed.
The command center pointed out that one new death case (case 16004) was added today, with a history of chronic disease. He entered Vietnam on August 6 and developed fever and sore throat on August 17, and was taken before the quarantine period on August 18. The casee was admitted to hospital after diagnosis and died on September 20.
The command center stated that today there are 6 new cases of overseas immigration, 3 males and 3 females, aged between under 5 and in their 50s. 中央流行疫情指揮中心今(22)日公布國內新增7例COVID-19確定病例，分別為1例本土及6例境外移入；另確診個案中新增1例死亡。
指揮中心說明，今日新增1例本土病例(案16263)，為30多歲女性，因曾接觸確診個案(案16146、案16157)，於今(2021)年9月7日匡列為居家隔離，9月20日進行隔離期滿前採檢，於今日確診。個案隔離期間無症狀，亦無接觸他人，故無匡列接觸者。
指揮中心指出，今日新增1例死亡個案(案16004)，有慢性病史，8月6日自越南入境，8月17日出現發燒、喉嚨痛症狀，8月18日檢疫期滿前採檢，確診後收治住院，9月20日死亡。
