台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、本日01月08日、「新たに増えたCOVID-19確診症例は23,411例（うち本土症例23,080例、輸入症例331例）；更に、確診症例中、36例の死亡者が出た」と発表。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに増えた国内症例23,080例は、5歳未満から90代以上の男性10,648例、女性12,419例、性別調査中13例となる。患者分布は、新台北市（4,590例）、台中市（2,923例）、高雄市（2,613例）、台北市（2,509例）、桃園市（2,333例）、台南市（2,016例）、彰化県（1,033例）、新竹県（757例）、新竹市（644例）、苗栗県（572例）、屏東県（558例）、雲林県（459例）、嘉義県（377例）、基隆市（364例）、宜蘭県（340例）、南投県（294例）、嘉義市（216例）、花蓮県（183例）、台東県（130例）、金門県（102例）、澎湖県（55例）、連江県（12例）となる」としている。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (Jan. 08) that there were 23,411 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, including 23,080 local and 331 imported cases; further, there were 36 deaths.
The command center stated that the new 23080 local cases today are 10648 males and 12419 females, (13 are under investigation of gender), aged between under 5 years old and over 90s; The distribution of cases is as follows: New Taipei City (4590 cases), Taichung City (2923 cases), Kaohsiung City (2613 cases), Taipei City (2509 cases), Taoyuan City (2333 cases), Tainan City (2016 cases), Changhua County (1033 cases), Hsinchu County (757 cases), Hsinchu City (644 cases), Miaoli County (572 cases), Pingtung County (558 cases), Yunlin County (459 cases), Chiayi County (377 cases), Keelung City (364 cases), Yilan County (340 cases), Nantou County (294 cases), Chiayi City (216 cases), Hualien County (183 cases), Taitung County (130 cases), Jinmen County (102 cases), Penghu County (55 cases), Lianjiang County (12 cases).
