台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、本日8月23日、「新たに増えたCOVID-19確診症例は26,382例（うち本土症例26,095例、輸入症例287例）；更に、確診症例中、16例の死亡者が出た」と発表。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに増えた国内症例26,095例は、5歳未満から90歳以上の男性11,959例、女性14,121例、性別調査中15例だ。患者分布は、新台北市（5,258例）、台北市（3,189例）、台中市（3,038例）、桃園市（2,673例）、高雄市（2,179例）、台南市（1,650例）、彰化県（1,132例）、苗栗県（762例）、新竹県（711例）、屏東県（692例）、雲林県（666例）、新竹市（659例）、宜蘭県（647例）、花蓮県（503例）、南投県（464例）、嘉義県（439例）、基隆市（424例）、台東県（319例）、嘉義市（307例）、金門県（199例）、澎湖県（161例）、連江県（23例）となる」としている。

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (Aug 23) that there were 26,382 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, including 26,095 local and 287 imported cases; further, there were 16 deaths.
The command center stated that the new 26095 local cases today are 11959 males and 14121 females, (15 are under investigation of gender), aged between under 5 years old and over 90s; The distribution of cases is New Taipei City (5258 cases), Taipei City (3189 cases), Taichung City (3038 cases), Taoyuan City (2673 cases), Kaohsiung City (2179 cases), Tainan City (1650 cases), Changhua County (1132 cases), Miaoli County (762 cases), Hsinchu County (711 cases), Pingtung County (692 cases), Yunlin County (666 cases), Hsinchu City (659 cases), Yilan County (647 cases), Hualien County (503 cases), Nantou County (464 cases), Chiayi County (439 cases), Keelung City (424 cases), Taitung County (319 cases), Chiayi City (307 cases), Jinmen County (199 cases), Penghu County (161 cases), Lianjiang County (23 cases).
