台湾中央流行疫情指揮センターは、本日9月20日、「新たに増えたCOVID-19確診症例は44,747例（うち本土症例44,500例、輸入症例247例）；更に、確診症例中、33例の死亡者が出た」と発表。
指揮センターは、「本日、新たに増えた国内症例44,500例は、5歳未満から90代の男性20,865例、女性23,621例、性別調査中14例だ。患者分布は、新台北市（9,289例）、台中市（5,877例）、台北市（5,229例）、桃園市（4,091例）、高雄市（3,717例）、台南市（2,790例）、彰化県（2,310例）、新竹県（1,197例）、屏東県（1,180例）、宜蘭県（1,176例）、苗栗県（1,094例）、雲林県（1,088例）、南投県（993例）、新竹市（930例）、基隆市（809例）、花蓮県（758例）、嘉義県（736例）、嘉義市（478例）、台東県（385例）、金門県（197例）、澎湖県（143例）、連江県（33例）となる」としている。
指揮センターは、「本日新たに増えた死亡例33例は本土症例で、60代から90代の男性15人、女性18人となる。全員が重症患者であり、29例が慢性疾患を有していた。25例は三回のワクチン未完了（76％）

The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (Sep 20) that there were 44,747 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, including 44,500 local and 247 imported cases; further, there were 33 deaths.
The command center stated that the new 44500 local cases today are 20865 males and 23621 females, (14 are under investigation of gender), aged between under 5 years old and over 90s; The distribution of cases is New Taipei City (9289 cases), Taichung City (5877 cases), Taipei City (5229 cases), Taoyuan City (4091 cases), Kaohsiung City (3717 cases), Tainan City (2790 cases), Changhua County (2310 cases), Hsinchu County (1197 cases), Pingtung County (1180 cases), Yilan County (1176 cases), Miaoli County (1094 cases), Yunlin County (1088 cases), Nantou County (993 cases), Hsinchu City (930 cases), Keelung City (809 cases), Hualien County (758 cases), Chiayi County (736 cases), Chiayi City (478 cases), Taitung County (385 cases), Jinmen County (197 cases), Penghu County (143 cases), Lianjiang County (33 cases).
